This is an absolutely incredible hotel. A must stay at least once for every Penn Stater. Be aware that on popular weekends the price is extremely different than on a regular date.
-
The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The location couldn’t be better!
-
Loved it here! My only suggestion would be to bring your own pillows.
-
Best place to stay at PSU. Great rooms, great staff. No place like it.
-
I was there for a college reunion with several other friends and it was great that there were so many gathering spaces throughout the hotel. Both the coffee shop and the Lionne restaurant had very good food.
-
Excellent place, great location
-
Fabulous location and beautiful facility! Be sure to bring wireless headphones to make the gym easier to use.
-
Nostalgic property.
-
Some of the hallways have an odor but not the rooms. Other than that it’s a beautiful homey hotel and the staff are extremely helpful and kind

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Happy Valley!
-
Loved every bit of our stay! The fresh water was a nice touch.

The Nittany Lion Inn is wonderful! The beautifully tiled bathroom was the cleanest and nicest bathroom we've ever seen at a hotel. The furniture in the rooms looks new and is in excellent condition. The public spaces are full of historic charm and are well-kept. Finally, every staff member was polite, helpful and efficient. The walls seem thin because you can here a lot in the room so this is not the hotel for loud, rowdy guests. We had a wonderful stay here and look forward to staying again for our next visit to State College!

Staff was great

Great location. Was able to explore the campus and eat at local spots as well as the hotel options, all on foot. The fitness center was fantastic. The grounds were beautiful. The coffee in the room was excellent.

The property is well maintained, the staff professional, polite and knowledgeable. The rooms are in fairly good shape and housekeeping did a good job, failing only to replace the espresso pod I used. The hotel gym is not bad as hotel gyms go. Where they lose points is dining. Triplett’s is the more casual option and here the food was good and the service fair to good. This one met expectations. Their upscale restaurant, which I tried for breakfast twice is atrocious. I ordered an omelette that was badly overcooked, under seasoned, and largely tasteless. The breakfast potatoes were also unseasoned. I could do better drunk. My son had scrambled eggs that were equally bad. I order a croissant. While it was croissant shaped, it was not in any world (certainly not in France) a croissant. It was croissant shaped bread. Terrible. The second morning, I had oatmeal and a fruit cup since the eggs were inedible. These were equally poor and commensurately overpriced. In short, something approaching Michelin star prices for less than greasy diner quality. Avoid. If you are staying here I recommend walking 15-20 minutes into town to do better.

Wonderful stay for my first time visiting Penn State!

Great place
-
Beautiful hotel, the coffee shop was great. The eco friendly air conditioning didn’t work, so it was insanely hot all night, never got below 78 degrees in the room. Would definitely stay there again but not in the summer.
-
So very nice. Would have loved a free breakfast of some sort. Seems more the norm but restaurants offered were very good

Great location, friendly staff, nice room!
