What staff they had were very helpful but they are very understaffed. When checking in we had to wait quite a while for a bellman because they only had one on a holiday weekend. Hot water faucet was broken in the room we had to make three calls before it was fixed more than 24 hours into our stay. The pool area was nice indoors but the outdoor patio had piles of old carpet and construction debris. There's no security guarding the rooms or system in the elevator. Anyone can move about the hotel without having a room. The room was spacious and had a nice view partial view of the lake even though it was their classic room. Room rate was good for a holiday weekend compared to other hotels. We were next to the electrical room which we could hear a low hum of elevator going up and down all night. I'm thinking of booking direct next time because I've had several instances booking through third parties that they get the worst room locations because they're making less on your booking

No room service, no microwave, room too small, no free breakfast,. Don't like the $25 a day parking fee.. Just not worth the long trip. Won't book thru expedia again!!

We have stayed at this property twice now. It’s convenient for us as we like to walk to the South Lake Tahoe town and also easy access coming from Kingsbury road. The rooms are spacious and everything we bring such as coolers, beach chairs, umbrella, luggage etc fits in the room.

    Musty

Paid hundreds of dollars to stay 1 night and house keeping is banging on the door at 830 in the morning….. why? Very rude

The property is is outdated, the ac is a swamp coolers. The night before our checkout our toilet gets clogged, service tech came out said he needs a snake to unclog the toilet, mind you this is all going on at 3am in the morning. Then comes back and tries to unclog it. He was unsuccessful. So when we needed to use the toilet we had to go down to the lobby and use their facilities. The front desk was non existent. I had called twice to get fresh towels, no one ever came by to drop them off. Just poor customer service overall and very outdated. I would not stay there again.

Hotel was outdated and grounds were unkept. The worst part was that my legal to drive 16 year old wasn’t allowed to use the pool without an adult there the entire time. Coffee maker didn’t work either. Way overpriced and underwhelming.

Outdated. Very few options for dining.

No water for customers to drink we had to buy our own water. Dust everywhere. Rug was hella dirty. Atleast free water. No one was answering the front desk every time we called.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The windows were dirty. The bathroom walls were scratched.

Love the stay and the view from the room.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Location, size of the room, view. Terrible front desk staff.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

overall, the room is comparable and clean

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

I feel like the advertising was misleading. The pictures are not true to what you actually are getting. We were very disappointed that we had to pay to upgrade to get one of the rooms that we thought we were getting when we initially booked.

Worst hotel experience I have ever had. Bathroom ceiling was falling in, spa had mold on the washcloths for your face, bathrooms was disgusting, hotel staff was all new and not helpful, told I didn't check in on night one when I did and was in the hotel the whole day, then checked me in under a another persons name, overcharged fee, 3 plus calls and still only a partial refund for stay. I've stayed in so many hotels and never experienced anything like this.

The rooms are very spacious and the shower was a huge walk in. However, the room didn't seem exceptionally clean and it was impossible to get anyone on the phone if you needed something. The first night, after 3 tries, I got someone on the phone. I asked for 2 pillows and an extra hand towel. She said of course, but they were never delivered. That was the last time I was able to get somebody on the phone during my entire stay, including 1 day where I called the number that they had posted to request maid service. I had to track a room service employee down myself for pillows, bags for my garbage, and at one point I had to raid one of their carts for a hand towel and a roll of TP when I couldn't find the employee that the cart belonged to. Ironically, on my last morning there, they knocked on my door before ten o'clock to see if I had checked out already so that they could clean my room. It was during the week and they could have been short staffed, but I've never had an experience at a hotel where I couldn't get a hold of anyone at all. In contrast, the pool and hot tub were great, and the customer service at the counter there was fantastic.
