Red Roof Inn Plus Statesville

I was traveling with two cats. Plenty of space for litter box and food mat. The price is budget friendly. Quick and easy check-in with friendly staff.

Clean rooms and very close to the I-77. Easy on and off. For Shoppers the Mall is across the street and a New Burger King in front of the Hotel.

Bed was comfortable. Free wifi. Young lady who checked me in was a sweetheart. No carpeting. Means I had to wear shoes the entire time. Floor gets slippery with water spills and dog feet add to uncleanliness of floor. No bars of soap. Shower gel only. Took me forever to pump out enough squirts of shower gel to shower. Tub had dirty soap scum and hair belonging to someone other than me. Under toilet seat was dirty. Room cost way more than it was worth.

The hand towels looked like they were just rung out in the sink and put on the rack to dry. The staff was nice.

Water pressure in shower was good. Bed was comfortable. Location near highway was good. Reservation was cancelled at 10pm even though we had stated our arrival would be between 9pm and 10pm. Outlets had no covers. Sink did not drain well. Room was dated and poorly maintained.

I booked a room that was supposed to come with a refrigerator and microwave but when I checked in was told the room didn’t have either. Then, I was offered a new room but was told it was an up charge. I agreed to just go without. I get to the room and the toilet doesn’t flush all the way. I have to flush 4-5 times before it flushes all the way. I asked for a new room but and the front desk worker said she had to ask her boss. We never got a new room. We were brought a plunger and said the problem was fixed. There was personal items from previous guests still in drawers along with empty water bottles.

It’s a ghetto motel

The staff here is great

room had everything I needed. AC had been turned on. bed clean and comfortable. dog friendly. ground floor room request honored. check in. I walked in. there was an Indian man behind the desk. he was wearing earphones speaking in a foreign language. the entire time. He was speaking in a low voice, I thought he was speaking to me at first, so I am saying, " excuse me, I don't understand" like an idiot, until I realized he was having a separate conversation. He did not apologize. he did not excuse himself from his conversation. secondly, the price. I have stayed here numerous times because it is dog friendly, and a convenient midway point of my travels. last night I spent $87 for a basic, overnight room. my next trip I am looking at surrounding areas for accommodation. rather than automatically booking here.

Room was clean. Lighting was good. The staff were polite and helpful. It was quiet and I felt safe. The down side, you had people smoking weed in the elevator and breezeway. We would stay here again

So we were driving back from Orlando and stopped for the night. I was driving so my husband made the reservation for 3 rooms for our family. When we arrived we found he had accidentally made reservations for 2027. We were able to book 3 more rooms and the hotel itself is fine but we have not gotten our money back for the 2027 rooms. It would be different if we didn’t pay for 3 other rooms. Yes it was a no cancellation and we didn’t want to cancel. Just needed to stay in 2026. How can you just take our money on a simple mistake? Expedia tried but no luck.

Room was non smoking, smelled awful, tub looked like it was 80 years old, air did not work, pets are to be free here and I was charged! Awful ! Drive 30 more minutes for better hotels!

I think this place has a reputation of being run down and old , but it is totally refurbished and a great stay. The staff are very nice and attentive.

Friendly and very helpful staff. And the room was nice and clean, plus enough coffee for in the morning I really appreciate.

Nice place Bed a little hard

Expedia pulled the bait and switch on the booking and wouldn’t correct the mistake when immediately notified.
