We've stayed here for a few years in a row because we like the place and the location, but starting to wonder if we'll be back. Every year the housekeeping is spotty, but this year we stayed 9 nights and our room got clean towels and the garbage emptied TWICE. I'm paying around $2000 Canadian, but I have to shlep down to the desk and exchange my dirty towels for clean ones and empty my own garbage? If you aren't going to do it Mon-Fri, take the sign off the bathroom mirror saying you do!

Excellent! My partner and I stayed the night for a concert. The room was clean, comfy and big! The free breakfast was good. And we were able to Uber back and forth from Michigan Lottery Amphitheater no problem!

I checked in on a Thursday and never recieved any housekeeping services until the last night, Monday.. I had to go to the front desk for linens, toilet paper, Kleenex. They said we don’t offer housekeeping services on the weekend, we are short of help. i felt i paid good money for this room and was very disappointed. It’s not like it’s COVID. I felt like I should not be charged the full cost of the room because of this lack of service..it was never told to me in advance. Also there was a party next door to me, and the reason i know was not only the noise , but the people who accidentally were banging on my door to come in. I will never stay here again.

Very nice and clean

The cleanliness issues were disappointing. I found flies in my room—not just one, but multiple. There was also a bug crawling around the floor of the breakfast area, which raised questions about overall housekeeping standards. The pool was heavily chlorinated to the point of being unpleasant; the smell was overwhelming and it irritated my eyes. On the exterior, there was a persistent marijuana smell outside the building, which wasn't the welcoming atmosphere I expected. The Positives The beds were genuinely comfortable—easily the best part of my stay. The shower had excellent water pressure and maintained a consistently hot temperature, which made for a refreshing start to my mornings. Temperature control in the room was intuitive and responsive; no struggling with ancient thermostats here. The breakfast offered plenty of options to choose from, giving guests real variety rather than the typical limited continental setup. Overall Assessment Staybridge Suites has the bones of a solid hotel. The comfort amenities are solid, but they need to significantly improve their housekeeping and facility maintenance. Finding insects in your room and the breakfast area is unacceptable at this price point, regardless of how comfortable the bed is. The over-chlorinated pool also suggests maintenance issues. Recommendation I'd recommend this hotel if and only if they resolve the cleanliness and pest control issues. As it stands, I'd book elsewhere for peace of mind.

This hotel is very clean. Breakfast is very good and staff is very nice. We visit family here and this is one of our favorite places to stay.

Nice place to stay with reasonable price. But our rooms were not ready by 4:00. The attendant at the desk did a great job but did not have enough cleaning staff to prepare the rooms. We had two king size bedrooms reserved, but when we got there at 4:00, check in time is 3:00 they were not ready. We had a wedding to prepare for and they gave us a queen size bedroom. When we returned at 10:00 PM they only had king sized bedroom available along with the queen sized bedroom earlier. Very disappointed about our first stay. Not sure if we will return.
