La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Erie

The rooms were amazingly comfortable and exceptionally clean. With one small exception, the staff was fantastic as well. The coffee bar and breakfast made it an even better venue! The front desk clerk on Saturday night (Oct 3) was a bit rude. When my wife mentioned that the 24/7 coffee bar was empty, she rolled her eyes and told her to just make coffee in the room. We also noticed her interactions with other guests was just as bad, if not worse. Other than that, the stay was fantastic.

Breakfast was good. The room had minor issues that didn't affect staying overall. The bathroom door did not close or lock, and could not open all the way. It appeared the floor may have been swollen underneath, because door hit at about 75% open & wouldn't open further. Staff that checked us in was excellent.

Room 218 and 220 – 26 Sept to Check-out 27 Sept 2026. my experience fell far short of acceptable hospitality and cleanliness standards of Whyndham.During my stay, I encountered several serious issues:Room Cleanliness: The room was dirty upon arrival, and there was visible mold around the window frames of both rooms, which poses a health concern. Red stains on carpet. Missing Amenities: Fundamental hygiene items, specifically hand soap, were completely missing from room no 220 and Shower in 218 didn't had shampoo instead housekeeping kept a body lotion by mistake.Poor Customer Service: When I addressed issues with the night front desk staff, they were unprofessional and showed no courtesy or respect toward guests. She said she cannot provide the hand soap bottle although she had key of the store room downstairs. As a paying guest, Mats at entrance were very dirty . Ice machine not working and tap water connected to juice bar which makes the taste of water bad. I expected a clean, safe environment and prompt resolution. Because the hotel failed to provide basic cleanliness and adequate hospitality, I am requested a full refund for my stay. They replied by saying that I am lying (I have taken all pics and videos as mold is the serious issue). I can provide pictures and videos upon request. I had stayed with Wyndham multiple times and this is the worst experience. How can a business call a customer a liar ? Shall keep posted.

The staff was extremely helpful, especially in helping us get a location found for dinner and other areas didn’t go sightseeing with or things to do. Very helpful very clean. Will stay again if we come this way.

My stay was overall ok. The rooms are a little run down. There was some mold on our bathroom ceiling and one of the outlets by our bed showed burn marks and the plugs were loose. The floors were very clean and mopped daily. I didnt find many choices at the breakfast but others did. I did love the availability of the coffee and tea 24 hours and the young man at the front desk refilled it when my sister needed more hot water. Our bed sheets were 50/50. Mine were clean and crisp but my sister's were noticeably used and dingy. The pool room was showing wear and tear but it was clean and the water was clean and clear and warm. The lower staff were so kind and helpful to my sister and myself but my nephew had problems with the Manager and his "brother" including some underbreath insults. It was disturbing because I can overlook run down especially with the cleanliness being wonderful, but all guests are important, even if you are the only affordable rate around. My overall is a 2-3 rating.

Breakfast was good, rooms were clean, staff was helpful, and the place was packed. My only suggestion would be a bench or some sort of seating for the designated smoking area.

Check in was quick easy, staff was friendly breakfest was very good.the bed was very comfortable and specious.

The door to the room wouldn’t even open all the way. To take a warm shower you had to let water run for ten minutes. We asked the front desk if we could have our room cleaned and trash emptied and they handed us trash bags to do it ourselves.

I didn't like how housekeeping tried 3 times to come into our room BEFORE checkout even!

no soap in bathroon. left side bed the support holding the mattress was broken. No support. pet stain on carpet in bedroom from dog poop. And the toliet would stop running in bedroom.
