Baymont by Wyndham Erie

Our room was clean and the staff were very pleasant. Safe area. The Courtesy Van was no longer in service. So we had to drive to the casino. A bit of a disappointment.

Passable

Value, location and relatively clean. AC unit didn’t blow cold air and room stayed at 78 degrees. Towels were clean but appeared to be a bit dated and over laundered.

The facility was clean and was in a great location. The third shift front desk attendant was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. To myself and I witnessed her being the same way to another customer. Your hotel tried to charge me for our room that was already paid for in advance, in full. When I politely pointed this out, immediately, I was essentially told I was lying when I had proof on my phone. My bank account clearly showed the hotel was charging me for the room when it shouldn’t have been. The pending payment in my bank account clearly had the hotel name and yet the attendant and the manager on the phone still said it wasn’t true. Then, in the middle of all this, the fraud department from my bank actually called to see if we authorized this transaction. The bank employee literally told the desk attendant and manager on the phone with her that there were in fact pending charges for the hotel room. Your employees still said it wasn’t true. The manager on the phone was at least polite but your front desk attendant was not. She was acting “ghetto” for lack of better words. Do better.

Pleasant

Easy check in and out We were in a handicapped room and when they lost power we had no emergency lighting in the room and were in total darkness for a few hours. Had to use our phones for light. For a 2 night stay for 2 people only 1 bath towel was in room. We had to ask for more. Only had coffee pack to make 1 cup. Could be better stocked. Front desk did not know if any emergency lights should have come on or even existed.

Breakfast was a B+ The coffee was very very WEAK

This is a lovely hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was also pretty good.

Great room for the value Could've expanded the menu at breakfast just a bit, provide a waffle maker.

Rooms were dirty, bathroom especially. The whole building smelled like flavored cigarillos covered up with fabreeze. Blood stain on the bedding. Felt some bites on my ankles while in the bed, so that was the final straw. Should have left earlier. Front desk was polite. Don’t expect a refund from this scam hotel.

The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable There was only one set of towels in the room so my husband had to go to the front desk for more. The towels need to be bleached / replaced because they looked gray and worn. The ice machines were gone or out of order on floors 2-3-4 and according to past reviews have been out of order for months. They did not have the waffle maker for breakfast (this was the only thing that I would have for breakfast on previous visits). The attendant would not print out the bill for me at checkout stating that I booked thru booking.com. so would have to get one from them. I will be checking out other hotels the next time we go to Presque Isle.

Towels were flimsy and rough, sometimes didn’t have hand towels or wash clothes. Toilet paper very cheap. Breakfast meager and always the same. Ice machine on our floor out of order for the entire ten days of our stay. We’ve stayed here three years in a row because it was convenient to our daughter’s home but not after this visit.

The carpets in hallways needs to be replaced very smelly. The towels very flimsy and only two for two people.

The staff was friendly The bathroom in my room was not cleaned at all. When I checked out Adam from the front deck said to contact booking. Com for a full refund. They said the hotel would not agree to the full refund. I wanted to check in at 2 could not because the room wasn’t cleaned came back at 4 checked in and left for an even came back at 1130 bathroom still not cleans someone’s else hair all through the tub, floor m, had to wait 25 minutes for clean towel and had to go back down to get them
