Best Western Plus Downtown Tacoma

Clean room and the breakfast was great. The staff was friendly and helpful.

There was an only 1 working elevator for 6 floors and a basement. It took forever to get from the lobby to our room. We didn't even bother trying to get breakfast due to long wait times at the elevator.

Room was clean and beds comfortable. It was great to have free secure underground parking. The breakfast set up was very elaborate with something for every type of breakfast eater. Staff was polite and helpful. An all around good experience.

DO NOT STAY. This hotel and listing on Expedia is extremely misleading. While it offers the amenities listed, it does not look like to photos listed. This hotel lacks cleanliness and a comfortable environment. The a/c in the room does not work. We had purchased a fan from Target to get air flowing as it felt stuffy and humid. Even after we switched rooms the a/c still did not work. It turns on, but just blows air that is not cold. The a/c in the hallway worked 100x better. The elevator was not working and so we had to go up 5 flights of stairs which isn’t the end of the world, but the stair case was banged up and there were chicken bones on the floor. Breakfast was mid. Overall this felt like a motel 6.

Clients were checked in by staff while knowing that NO elevators were working. Parking garage is 1 or 2 level below lobby and our room was on the 3rd floor, therefore we had to carry our luggage up 4 or 5 floors. We should have been informed before we checked in or the hotel should have provided staff to m over our luggage to our room. We are extremely disappointed with our stay.

We had a good stay and the breakfast was good for the price. Definitely coming back if we get a good deal on the room again.

Elevator was broken and staircase was inconvenient

Oh, also, the listing lied. This is not in downtown Tacoma. This property is actually on the outskirts of downtown Tacoma in an industrial district, which is rundown and sketchy to say the least.

The breakfast was good and one of the few positive parts of my stay. However, the service was very disappointing. I stayed from Wednesday through Sunday, and my room was never cleaned once during my entire stay. I also requested clean towels, but they never arrived despite asking. For the price and the expectations of a Best Western Plus, I expected much better housekeeping and customer service. Unfortunately, the lack of basic service made this a frustrating experience, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Stay was great, I just didn’t have my room cleaned while I was there. I’m not sure if I needed to put the tag on the door, so could’ve just been me.

No hot water, toilet seat broken, AC made noise all night, terrible parking structure, elevator was broken, clogged sink.

The property was under construction. No elevators, not enough parking but rooms were decent and breakfast was good.
