The stay was very good

The hotel is going through a refurb presently, so some the rooms will soon all be restored to former days. Our room despite in the older side, we very good, and so spacious for a family of 5, the 2 bedrooms a real bonus. Great breakfast, definitely a highlight! Alongside having a swim. Our stay was really impacted by renovations, just the very visual impact of the lobby being worked on. A good stay and we would stay again.

This hotel was being remodeled at the time of my stay and was never notified ahead of time. The elevator was out of service most of the time, we were on the 3rd floor. Would have to call front desk, to have them send us the elevator, the construction crew was using, very frustrating and inconvenient. Staff would see us trying to use the elevator and not offer any help, till you asked, first time we used it, lady saw us get in elevator, knowing it was out of service, once we realized and opened elevator, lady said it was out of service and walked of. We walked down hall to find another elevator, which there was not one. When we came back to the front daesk, which is right next to elevator, we had to ask, how to get to our room. Lady at front desk which checked us in and watched us run all around says, oh I will call someone and have you go up on construction elevator, INSAIN. They were remodeling a room directly above our. They started using jack hammer and drill at 8am, very loud and impossible to sleep.. Then we went to leave and there was no one at front desk, so we just left. That afternoon, I got a checkout receipt from the hotel, with a parking fee, that I had never been told about. Would not recommend staying there, the staff was very disrespectful and not helpful. Plenty of other places to stay in Tampa.

Could not accommodate us on a change of room! You could not tolerate the noise of jack hammer under your head ! Notified Expedia and notified them of the terrible situation! The hotel should have remained close while on construction

Great location right in the heart of downtown Tampa. Worth every penny.

The breakfast was good and the pool was a nice bonus since it was very hot out and we enjoyed the time there. The kitchen area in our suite was well stocked (not that we cooked, but it seemed we could have) and the bed was very comfortable. Our toilet was full of excrement when we got there, and the shower had a drip which had worn down the floor of the tub and left reddish marks. It looked pretty gross. I also struggled to control the temperature of the shower, it was scalding most of the time. The carpeting throughout the suite was not great, had some pulls and stains.

I didn’t get a full walk around, but turn balcony facing the pool was nice. Staff was delightful, and let me know all about the construction taking place. The room was spacious and clean.
-
Nice hotel and staff. The low rating is due beacuse there was water leaking from the ceiling. I bright this to the attention of the staff, but nothing was done about it.

The room was clean and had a kitchenette. Parking was across the street and worked fine. We had reserved a room with a queen-sized bed but it was only a full. We had already settled in before we noticed so we decided to simply stay in that room. Our arrival was about 45 minutes early but we were able to get a room. Perhaps this was why we got a full bed? Even so, they should have told us at check-in that it was a full instead of a queen bed. The hotel is under renovation, however this was not noted on Expedia nor by the hotel. Workers were working in the room above us until about 5:30 p.m. and then started again at 9 a.m. The front desk asked the workers to stop when we called down about the noise. Front desk did warn us that work would begin again at 9 a.m. but that was a non-issue for us.

Front desk staff were great on check-in and check-out. Hotel was going through construction so certain inconveniences might be expected. However, there were several safety concerns; one being, putting up a temporary door next to the elevator and the water/coffee station - I was almost hit twice by swinging door. A window needs to be placed in the door for people entering the lobby.
-
The staff were friendly. The location is was great, walkable to plenty of restaurants.

From the outside and in the lobby, the hotel looks modern and well maintained. However, the rooms are very outdated. To be fair, the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so hopefully the rooms will soon match the updated look of the rest of the property. Unfortunately, our room had several issues. The bathroom faucets leaked throughout the night, the bathtub was not properly cleaned, and we found small roaches in the kitchenette. We didn't discover the roaches until we returned from the concert late at night, so it wasn't practical to move our entire family to another room at that point. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, and the staff was absolutely amazing, everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and helpful. I would consider staying here again once the renovations are complete, but I hope the cleanliness and maintenance issues are addressed as well.

The door to the room was broken and the room was not clean and the shower needed addressed as the shower was not clean and did function properly

Central location. Lack of snacks available

The staff were amazing!!! The hotel is under construction and if that information was included in the info when I booked, I missed it. The hotel was in disarray. The parking isn’t connected to the hotel so you have to walk toward the next block to park. The hotel is older and weathered, which is why I’m sure they are renovating so I’m sure it will be super nice once it’s done. My only hiccup is that I didn’t realize it was under construction or that it was pet friendly (the hallways smelled like wet dog) and paid over $200+ for our room each night. I wish they would’ve discounted the rooms based on the condition of the hotel. Until it’s renovated, I would recommend booking at the Marriott Courtyard which is connected to the Residence Inn and is super nice. But, although our stay wasn’t the best, the staff were absolutely amazing and accommodating.

Incredible staff!! Rooms were spacious and the hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area. The hotel was under construction at the time so the elevators were out of service occasionally but we didn’t mind getting the extra steps in lol!

Walking distance to many near by restaurants.

Everything is as great

In the middle of renovation period, which was notified after reservation was made. Daily water shutdown from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on all hotel rooms and public areas, and no compensation or consideration to affected guests, such as a rate adjustment, waived parking fees, or other alternatives was offered.
