Very elegant place will come again

This hotel was wonderful, staff was great, the view was incredible, pool was very clean, the complimentary shuttle service around town was very useful, decorated for the fourth of July where guests could take photos, it was just all around wonderful stay…… minus the one mishap: a leg of one of the wooden chairs outside broke when I sat down and I was hurt by it, and once staff was aware they took immediate steps to prevent it from happening again by inspecting and removing any seating that may not be safe, I will not criticize the hotel for that, it’s Florida the heat rain and sun does a number on patio furniture, it was an accident and no one it to blame. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Barrymore hotel!!

The hotel overall was good. A little outdated but nothing bad. My only concern was someone else who was staying on the same floor as me causing a scene. I think he got in a fight in the hallway over night that woke us up.

:) nice staff enjoyed stay

The room was clean and comfortable. It was convenient having a bar within.

Just stayed one night. It’s in a great location but could use some TLC! It’s an older hotel so we knew that going into the night. Comfortable for one night but somethings should be really remedied. Especially since price isn’t exactly cheap. Not expensive but not cheap! Mold in corners or the shower….just needs some bleach. Iron leaked brown liquid possibly from rust and shirt may be ruined. No hot water for morning shower. Shower not draining properly. Parking a challenge due to it being July 4th celebration. Could use a little more furniture around pool. It’s a small pool. Restaurant needs staff!!!!

The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about properly accommodating me. I enjoyed the gym as well as the pool, however wish the pool was more bigger. Overall my daughter and I enjoyed ourselves.

Hotel is in a great location and has a friendly staff. The hotel’s physical condition shows signs of wear and should be updated at some point. Our bathroom had hair in various places which calls into question the quality of the housekeeping services.

The waitress that worked alone on July 4th was amazing despite being short staffed. She did her best and made it work. Great property. Loved the pool and how close to river walk

Pool was good. Staff was excellent.

We went for the fireworks at the park across the river. The staff was brilliant!! They did so well under pressure. One standout staff member was Jehanne Jackson. I had my 85 year old mom who uses a walker. She made sure our room was handicap accessible. Arranged for parking for my brother who surprised my mom by flying in. She was just SPECTACULAR!! After the fireworks, Jehanne Jackson made our stay so memorable!! The hotel is really a cool spot to stay!!

Second year in a row booking for the 4th of July. Excellent location. Rooms clean. Staff do their best, but they are overwhelmed, overbooked for the staff they have. Second year in a row the restaurant and bar could not remain open through advertised closing hours. I feel badly for staff who tried so hard, but they could not handle the crowd. Not even close. Maybe take reservations for the restaurant on the 4th to save staff the angry guests.

You get what you pay for. There is a coffee machine in the room, but no water bottles to make it. We went to the soda machine, but water was sold out. Went to the lobby to buy water bottles. It was $4.95 per bottle. I can definitely get a case of 40 from Sam’s Club for $4! The bathroom smells horrible. The toilet looks like it’s been there awhile with old cracks around the bottom. The pillows was hard as a rock! The bed was also no different. Very disappointed and will not be back or recommend to anyone. Also, parking was very limited. Didn’t mind the $20 fee, but it was hard locating a space for the night.

The hotel is clean and well kept. Towels and linens are pristine. There’s a fridge-and a microwave in the room. The staff are helpful and efficient. They have a private parking that’s for guests only (for a fee), there’s a restaurant on site and a sundries shop for snacks and light microwaveable meals. Vending and ice machine on every floor. And the elevators are fast moving. Only negative comment I have is how thin the walls are. You can hear the noise from the hallway. However this is an older hotel so I guess it’s ‘age-related’. We’ll definitely stay again.

Very close to the river walk with a great view of Liberty Day festivities for the 4th of July!
-
The carpet needs cleaning. The elevator and waiting are need AC urgently. This was awful; no AC in elevators.
