Just not worth it

Well priced, good location in Downtown Tampa, the staff was very friendly and accommodating It's a bit dated but didn't bother

The location, staff and restaurant were amazing. The rooms were clean but outdated and the walls were cracked and dirty..I could hear the people in the next room conversation and the toilet flush.

The Barrymore Hotel has a pretty good location along the Riverwalk. The staff we spoke with were very friendly and professional. The hotel is clean but pretty outdated. The double rooms were pretty tight and the A/C unit blew straight into your face if sleeping on the adjacent bed which wasn’t ideal.

The location is excellent. The shuttle to/ from hotel and campus/ 2 mile radium is very convenient. It is also really fantastic that they hotel honors a UT student discount.

Excellent customer service when checking in, at the restaurant, and during our stay.

Shower water was cold, and toilet was broken(keep running had to mess with flusher so it would refill water tank everything was flushed.

My daughter laughed at me because this hotel is a partial dorm for UT. But it’s short walk to campus and great location for walking trail for restaurants downtown and near Armature works. Hotel is clean and checks all the boxes. Color scheme of yellow in blue in the hallways gives a dated vibe but room was just just fine. I would go back. If you mention your with UT the daily parking is $10 not $20.

The location is perfect if you are staying for an event at the Straz as it is a block from the Straz. It is also easy walking distance to the riverwalk. The restaurant made a great gourmet pizza that was huge and we had a fridge in our room for leftovers for post show cold pizza. We’ll stay again.

THE SHUTTLE: Drivers were friendly and very helpful. Common area cleanliness. Apparently, some of the furry guests who used the 10th floor were not very well trained and used the carpet to release themselves multiple times. Attempts to clean the carpets were not successful. The 10th floor hallway smells strongly of wet dog and dog urine. Needs either recleaning with a better cleaner or carpet replacement.

Room was very clean, the front desk night shift girl was very kind, professional and polite. The bar/restaurant was great, breakfast tho was not so good, my eggs were not cooked all the way, but it was fine. Everything was great otherwise. Thanks, I’ll definitely stay there again.

Love to stay here for proximity to my son at UT. Getting the water hot in the shower is always an issue. The coffeemaker always has a spent pod from previous guest inside, gives me the ick. Don’t count on a hair dryer, usually broken or missing. I do love the reception staff and the convenience of a local shuttle tho. They also hold packages I send ahead until I get there which is very helpful! Will stay again.
