The grounds are absolutely beautiful with lots to do. Unfortunately we were only in for a quick overnight so we couldn’t enjoy anything but I would go back again!
-
Lovely grounds. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer
-
Overall the buildings looked like there is a lot of deferred maintenance! The landscaping was well maintained!

Tarrytown House Estate is a wonderful hotel! The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast and dinner were excellent, the grounds are beautiful and the staff always goes out of their way to be courteous and helpful. I've been staying there for 20 years and I will be staying there again soon!

Superb

Grounds were pretty Breakfast too expensive and charged an extra $25 a day for "extra fees"

The Tarrytown House Estate property is wonderful, full of history and charm. Some of the recreational facilities are a bit rundown. As one example, the tennis court has been neglected, and I don't believe the courts are available to play tennis.

I like the hotel environment. You don't feel like you're in hotel facilities but a beautiful garden. The check-in time is at 4 p.m. It could be at 3 p.m. since the checkout time is at 11 a.m. Technically, a customer who reserves for a single night is getting only 19 hours to stay. Within that period, the customer should both check in and check out.

We got there and the front desk did not have us listed for a room...didn't get a room until 10:30 p.m. after my husband insisted. Then, they put us in a cottage with an air conditioner full of mold...I am deathly allergic...last time landed me in the emergency room. It wasn't until the morning that we got to talk with a manager. Funny thing, I had called ahead and the manager on duty said we were all set????

I just loved the grounds, the old mansions, the goose feathers dining and the beautiful buffet breakfast

No housekeeping or room service despite repeatedly being told there would be. Had to continuously ask for fresh towels. Won't be going back.

The staff wasn't very helpful, our first night we arrived, tried to call from our room but the phone didn't work, we used our cell to call and ask for towels/phone fixed, they never came. Had to ask for towels again the next day. We didn't have the balcony view like we were supposed to have, and the coffee creamer in the room curdled when we put it in the coffee. In the lobby they removed the creamer fridge right in front of us and said they're not doing that anymore and gave more little creamer packs that curdled. The bonfire pits weren't on and when we asked about them, they said no, it was too late to turn them on. The parking is insane there if you don't use valet, very uphill, and there's no elevator l, have to carry your bags up and down the stairs. We drove 9 hours each way to go stay there, it was quite disappointing.
