The rooms are somewhat dated. Thankfully, I was moved from my original room and placed in a room with a functioning air conditioner. The best part of my stay was the breakfast buffet and coffee. It was phenomenal! The hotel is close to shopping villages, mansion tours and the Hudson River. You must dine at Bistro 12 and order the seafood pasta dish!

Unique property a bit older!

I had a less than perfect stay but to management's credit they immediately rectified the situation, They were very responsive and accommodating. I look forward to returning with my family,

Power outage during our stay. Nothing much to do on the property.

We liked the architecture. Pool was probably nice but we stayed for one night. There was a lawn area for games but it was ti late to use by the time we got back. Main lobby was nice. We just had a rough time with not having an extended stay. First room we were given wasnt made up. Trash everywhere, an unmade bed, wet towels. Must have been miscommunication between house keeping and front desk but it wasnt easy getting up to the top floor. Went given directions for the elevator at first and had to climb stairs with our luggage to be greeted my a messy room. They did switch our room but parking can be limited so prob have to walk anyways. Second room had something on bathroom ceiling and 2 light bulbs out and no bath which we normally look forward to. We were given breakfast buffet vouchers for the mix up but can't say it woulda been worth the 30 pp any ways. Upon check out and leaving I was double charged fir the room and it messed my finances up. They were able to expedite the refund by end of day but initially they said itd take 1 to 2 days to receive. I was told id receive a refund for the 25 dollar hotel fee but never seen it. It just felt like a lot went wrong in a short amount of time that really hindered our experience.

The incoming storm ended that abruptly but the staff and facilities were very helpful in keeping the enjoyment going. Catching the fireworks across the Hudson by the pool made it even better! Thanks to all the staff!

Me and my partner had such a great time ! The staff were all super nice and friendly. We loved the architecture of the estate. The room was super spacious and comfortable bed. We enjoyed the 4th of July bbq outside with the dj. We also enjoyed walking around the estate and exploring the mansions. The restaurant Goosefeather was delicious!! We had a 10/10 experience overall and would recommend for family or a couple quick getaway.

Everything was good except at the check-in, the person at the reception did not seem to have much experience. We asked him several questions about the hotel and services and he was unable to provide any answer. He kept saying "I do not know" but never says, let me me find out or anything like that.

Friendly, clean and comfortable. Rooms were sizeable for a standard hotel room, but the real draw is the property itself. Grounds are extremely pretty and tucked away from the hustle and bustle, and felt very safe. A cool place to just hang around if you have ample time. Seems to be popular for gathering and group retreats, if that is of interest, and seems an ideal place for that. I think for the money, it's a great deal, and would take it over a chain location any day. I highly recommend. Also, if you are taking the train into the city, Irvington station is actually closer than the Tarrytown station, and is, I want to say about a 10 minute drive away. I highly recommend this hotel, especially if ambiance is a factor for you. Enjoy!

I’m not sure if it’s related to the ResortPass guests, but people were arriving as early as 8:00 a.m., placing towels on lounge chairs, and then leaving for hours without ever using the pool. As a result, there were virtually no chairs available for guests who were actually at the pool. To make matters worse, this morning there were four empty lounge chairs available, but a security staff member at the pool rudely told me they were reserved for the owners. Watching chairs sit empty while paying guests had nowhere to sit was incredibly frustrating, and the interaction itself was unprofessional. The service was also far below what we’ve come to expect. We waited more than 45 minutes for our food, only for the order to be incorrect when it finally arrived. In addition, our room was never cleaned overnight. We had originally planned to extend our stay. We came with family and booked connecting rooms, but the experience was so disappointing that our family member decided to leave early, and we no longer felt comfortable extending our visit. This experience was completely unlike the level of service we’ve always received here. We have always enjoyed staying here, which is why this visit was so disappointing. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, as this experience has made us reconsider returning

Indoor pool water temperature was too cold otherwise great stay
-
Hills and stairs to drag bags and luggage up. Tough and far parking. Delapitated stairs at Putnam building.
-
The property was really spread out over multiple buildings and parking was difficult
-
The exterior and grounds are gorgeous. Staff is mostly delightful, with one in particular who went above and beyond. The rooms however are dreary, dirty, outdated and sad. The property is also a maze. Not for weary travelers looking for respite. More for the desperate lol

The room while renovated and well appointed had trash under the bed and a bathroom renovation that missed a few things. The shower was so slick with no textured flooring or mat And the shower mat had to be pucked up and moved as the door would not open or close while it was down.
-
The building we were in had issues - very slow drains, noisy hallways, poorly done fix-its. Otherwise it was quite comfortable and the adjustable air conditioning was appreciated. The maze of driveways through the property took some practice.

Loved it! We hope to be back soon!

Very clean and friendly.
