Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Tulsa South by IHG

Good: - The aesthetic was good - Temperature in the room was comfortable - Bathroom setup looked good Bad: - Smell of cannabis overwhelmed the hall where my room was, seeping a little into my room - Toilet seat was very loose, which caused trouble every time I used the bathroom - Shower curtain was dirty - Tub drain was slow, so I had to stop in between showers to let it drain first - Could not properly locate where to change from faucet to shower - Some areas still needed some cleaning Although I understand it was a one-night stay, I was expecting a room change when I brought my complaints to the front desk.

Wonderful staff and facilities, we enjoy staying here often!

Clean

Twice during my 4 night stay I was locked out of my room as my key simply stopped working. The first time was during the day so there was staff at the desk however the second time was on Sunday night. When I got downstairs there was a sign that they had stepped away to help someone else. So I wanted… and waited, and waited. 38 minutes to be exact. How do I know it was 38 minutes? My son has disabilities and was agitated I was counting the minutes. I called the hotel number, I looked around the property, NO ONE! Finally Joe appears, helps everyone else who had shown up and lined up to check in while I nervously paced and looked around then finally gets to me. I was mad, I may have been a bit rude in how I told him how long I waited. He was kind but that did not make my wait or mood any better. The hotel is poorly maintained. Our toilet ran constantly (a noise you kind of get used to but not really). The amenity room walls were moldy with peeling wall paper. This includes the pool, the exercise room. The laundry room also has some poly maintained machines but that doesn’t matter to most people. It was an annoying stay. I love the location however the price was not much lower than the higher end hotel across the lot.

The hotel was in a PERFECT location. Staff was so friendly, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was delicious!

After traveling all day with my daughter and autistic 6 year old grandson to get to this hotel for a visit with my 35 yo son’s widow on the one year anniversary of his death, I was met with staff that was not helpful in getting us into our room at 11:45pm. Due to a reservation problem the room had not been charged properly and since we had traveled all day my debit card limit had been met. I had cash to pay for the room but that was not accepted. When did establishments stop accepting cash?? The front desk lady treated me as hostile and offered no help in coming up with a solution. The entire time my grandson was asking to please be allowed to go to bed. I had my concerns about ever staying at another Holiday Inn Express as this is not the first one that I have had problems at. Travelers beware.

The front desk was so welcoming. My check in was fast but still gave me a full scope of what was available amenities wise. The room was immaculate

1 elevator was broken making it take forever to get to our floor and it was very busy and pool overcrowded and they ran out of clean towels
