Motel 6 Ventura, CA - Beach

The parking lot and walkways were filthy. There were signs everywhere warning you to lock your car and deadbolt your door. The room was pretty clean. However there was no coffee or even water in the room.. The towels and bedding were probably bought at the dollar store. There are better hotels in the area for less than $200 which was crazy!

I checked in on Fri 7/31 -8/2 . Upon arriving in the hotel I was told I would be given a non smoking room , which I agreed on ( had my kids and dog with me ) right away stepping into my room , it reeked of cigarettes . The smell was so overwhelming , I turned on the light for the bathroom and the smell was horrible. The smell came from the vents . I immediately go down to the office and told them about the smell . They say there was nothing that they could do , as the hotel was full to wait until morning time . So I had to choice , we waited . The next morning , the lady in the front says they was no rooms available. Until I insistent and for my luck, the manager was approaching the manager over her our conversation and took over and was able to get me a room once I get to the room. The AC does not work. Maintenance comes in and fixes it very horrible experience and never again will I come to this hotel: the rooms are dirty and I am 100% sure that sheets were not changed. Everything

I enjoyed staying there.

Room was clean, had a mini fridge, small table and chair, comfortable bed. Air conditioning unit was noisy, but we just used the fan mode which was quiet at night.

Sydney and her staff was great !!! They have a portable hospital for mental health or drug addiction in the back of the motel. Not really a good place for it

Great cost for a very comfortable bed and location and dog policy. The room did smell like smoke/musty.

It was clean and what I would expect from a Motel 6. The night time was kind of distracting. Lots of door knocks late at night.

PARKING IS TIGHT IF YOU COME IN LATE

Remodeled location. Noisy ac unit but cold so no complaints. Very busy motel and lots of people hanging out in the parking lot throughout the day and night. The walk to the beach is not direct and requires to walk along busy roads.

Front desk staff was not very friendly. Room was small. Shower was very small

Really comfortable room, and wonderful location. Shower was extremely modern and nice. Bathroom wood was extremely warped, one of the boards was even loose. AC seemed to really struggle, looked like the salty ocean air had been hard on it. Also not a fan of the check in kiosk staffed by remote workers. It grabbed someone every time it was walked in front of, while it'd be better if it only did when someone had touched it and was at a step that actually needed someone. I think almost every time I started to use it, one of the physical workers would just step in and handle things quicker anyway. All the remote workers seemed to be from India, which would be fine if I could be sure that wasn't being done just so they could be underpaid.

Slept Well,No Noise . The room was dirty , The floor looked liked it hasn't been swept,Dirt and debris all over . and the shower was Dirty . Got in late from work otherwise I'd would have requested another room .

No shampoo no conditioner no tissues no microwave no coffee really nothing in the room but 2 baby soap bars. Otherwise was clean
