Oceanfront Inn

We have stayed at a few different beach front hotels before but this one is absolutely amazing! Check in was quick, easy and entertaining! Lizzy did an amazing job and almost had us talked into another night! The whole hotel was super clean. The hallways even smelled great and had good smelling hand sanitizer by each elevator. The balcony looking at the ocean was beyond perfect! The beds were comfy and the a/c did great with it being in the 90s that weekend. The parking lot is a little tight if you have a big vehicle. All of the staff we encountered was friendly and willing to talk. My only complaint is the hardwood floors in the room, the sand from the beach gets everywhere. Lots of stuff to see and do and places to eat within walking distance.

Great location near shops and restaurants. Boardwalk access from the hotel is convenient. Parking available on both sides of the street in private lot. Breakfast available at cost in on site restaurant. Dinner also available, which was very good if you like Caribbean food. Indoor pool on premises, I didn't get to use it but it was utilized by other guests every time I passed it. I would choose to stay here again!

What we liked: The location is excellent, with direct access to both the beach and the boardwalk. One of the highlights of our stay was seeing dolphins from our balcony every day. We also had a wonderful view of the free fireworks shows on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. We appreciated the complimentary coffee station near the lobby every morning, with coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate, and other beverages available for guests. What we liked less: The overall cleanliness of the hotel was average. For example, some of the windows were dirty and greasy, and when we arrived in our room, there were still Oreo cookie crumbs on the floor. The hotel is also not very soundproof. Every evening we could hear noise from outside, music, and sounds from neighboring rooms. In addition, the air conditioner in our room was quite loud, so I would recommend bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Finally, the Wi-Fi service was poor and did not work most of the time during our stay.

Friendly staff, very helpful

We had a wonderful stay at the Oceanfront Inn in Virginia Beach! The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and perfectly located right on the beach. Our room had two comfortable queen beds and a private balcony with an amazing ocean view—it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunrise. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. There was plenty of convenient parking, and the on-site pool was consistently clean and never overcrowded. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

Didn't like no microwave on the property and the bathtub needs an overhaul

Check in was an awful experience. Had to go on a waiting list because rooms weren’t ready yet. People who were on the list after me got their key before me until I went up and asked again for the third time if my room was ready, the floor was still sandy when we first entered the room and traveling with 2 kids the beds were sandy within 20 minutes. No microwave, beds were uncomfortable and the blankets were awful. We come here every year and I will pay extra next time to stay somewhere else

Nice place .. they let me check in early which was great. The room was just ok, could use some updating, the bathroom sink was clogged, and my only main complaint is the floor was filthy. Sand everywhere, my feet were black walking barefoot in the room. They definitely did not clean the floor before I checked in. Besides that, everything else was fine. I would stay again for the price but I will also look into other hotels before I book again.

My refrigerator in my room was left open and broke. Indoor pool water was freezing.Beds are kinda high to get into. Outside of that it was ok. Front Desk people were friendly & curious
