Super 8 by Wyndham Walnut Creek

Shame on Super 8. This used to clearly be a Motel 6 (which I don’t have any issues with normally). When I arrived to check in the clerk was obviously mid phone call on what I perceived to be a personal call and continued to “try” to help me. There was no refrigerator, microwave, shampoo which I come to expect at Super 8. One of the outlets in the bathroom was burnt out long ago and not replaced. There was only one full size towel and the only medium sized towel was stained and/or soiled. If we were looking for white noise the toilet ran all night so we had that going for us. All in all I hate to be the guy that would say “I’d give them so stars if I could” but if you could rate someplace a negative number I would. I’ve done a fair amount of traveling IMO and far and away this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

For the most part it served it’s purpose. Was there for one night. Sucks that they are skimpy on the towels. One mid size towel along with a dry off towel. No face towel. Lots of quickly done patch work in the tub and around the tub . Only thing new was the tv. But again. Was just for one night. I couldn’t see myself here longer than 2 days. Oh and some random person knocking on doors early am..

Hotel was very rundown, pool was closed, it was green. Property was dirty overall. Got an email to check in provided my information and ID. Got confirmation of check in only to arrive and have the front desk laugh and say it's not actually connected so I provided it all again. Vapes found all over outside. Cigarette/Marijuana butts outside the room next door even though they supposedly have strict no smoking policy. We checked in went to our room and checked back out after seeing the room condition.

Good location, easy parking Maybe have some snacks or vending machines that work

The price was reasonable There were cigarette burn marks in the blanket. The bathroom floor laminate was separated. There was no tissue box. Mold in the shower. One tiny bath towel. The bathroom light had the cover off and a burnt out bulb. The table had something sticky on it.

The hotel was clean, but the room had no amenities. Even Motel 6 provides more 4 towels. This Super 8 only provides 1 towel, no hairdryer. No coffee. :(

The property is a former Motel 6 and I don't think Wyndham did any inspection or approval of this property prior to the turn over to Super 8. It surely does not meet their standards. Sheets and bed covers were stained, bathroom light not working, no breakfast offered. One morning they didn't even have coffee!! I'll be contacting Wyndham corporate to let them know!

I truly understand that a budget motel will not offer a five-star hotel experience, but I do expect a functioning shower and an unclogged bathroom sink. It is insane that I do not see any housekeeping staff or concierge at this motel. I have no one to ask for help with my shower problem. I have to wait 30 minutes just to check out and drop off the room key because the receptionist went on break. There is a sign saying, “Going on break for 30 minutes,” but it does not mention when he will be back. I will never, ever book this motel again.

Its location There’s no complaints. It’s all good.

It’s very clean and comfortable . It’s clean and very quiet at night in the morning as well .

This property used to be a Motel 6, and I have stayed at it when it was Motel 6. It was better maintained when it was Motel 6. The duvet covers had a burn hole in it, the flooring in the bathroom had gaps between the planks, the shower head ring was not attached to the wall, and the tub needed to be cleaned better. And my key had to be reprogrammed twice in three days.

Clean room, helpful staff, pool is like the one at the White House
