Great location, great price

I had a confirmed reservation that I had already paid for, but when I arrived after a six-hour drive, I was told there were no rooms available because another company had booked the entire hotel. I wasn’t the only one—many other guests with confirmed reservations were turned away as well. Instead of having a room waiting for me, I had to spend hours searching for another hotel and didn’t finally get checked in somewhere else until around 4:00 a.m. After such a long drive, this was completely unacceptable. A prepaid reservation should mean you have a guaranteed room. The lack of organization, communication, and concern for guests was unbelievable. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere else.

The property is being renovated so it was a little disorienting. But the room was clean and nicely appointed, the staff was nice, and the room was quiet. No hot water in the shower 😩

Lift doesn’t work most of the time

Property was under major renovation. We were not notified until the night before.

:( was super excited at first….. but i was very disappointed :(((

The staff was very helpful and nice, but every aspect behind the staff was ok and terrible
-
The staff was very accommodating. Our initial room had no view and the next morning we were moved to a much nicer room with a view on the 7th floor. The location was good with a restaurant right across the street and 3 blocks away DuPont circle with lots of eating options. Plus the price fit our budget.
-
Due to renovations there was no parking and the smell on the first floor made me nauseous. Amenities are also shut down and the the check in was moved to the restaurant portion of the hotel. Most of the staff was professional and courteous.
-
On the positive side, the staff was friendly and professional. My room was recently renovated, but that came with its own issues...a telephone that didn't work, and highly sensitive motion-activated lights in the bathroom that could not be de-activated. The AC was permanently stuck on "meat locker." The hotel is in a good location, easily accessible to many local attractions, and public transportation options. Overall, due the inconveniences of the renovation, I can only give it an average rating for the time I was there...but I hope the renovation will make it much more accommodating when complete.

Everything was bad
-
It was under heavy construction. Ice machine didn’t work, no microwave in the room. But the staff was excellent in trying to make up for the inconveniences. Maybe it’ll be much better once the construction is finished and it is revitalized.

The rooms were updated and very clean. Great location. The lobby was closed due to renovation. The air circulation was poor and it was stinky in that area.

The hotel does not have a manager! An employee said they were going to leave due to this fact. I witnessed guest go into a room that assigned to them to find someone in their room sleeping. Hotel had a bad odor which permeated throughout the room! I will never book this hotel again. I feel bad for the staff. Complaints from so many guest and no managers!

Lovely hotel friendly staff and great hospitality

The property was under much needed renovation during my stay. I've stayed here many times before, though. It has a great location for walkability.
