Hotel was under renovation construction during stay, causing delays and inconvience. This was not mentioned when booking.

Lovely hotel friendly staff and great hospitality
-
The property was under much needed renovation during my stay. I've stayed here many times before, though. It has a great location for walkability.

We just booked the room because of the location close to the White House. Only used the room for sleeping. The hotel was under renovation. The only highlight was that we got the room facing the 250th anniversary fireworks.

we arrived requested two beds, were told there was a small kitchen, they no longer have a small anything!!!! the room has one bed for 3 people. they changed our room!!!! the room we moved to had two beds, no air conditioning!!! no phone, broken toliet seat. no hot water, a drawer for chilled items. you had to go to the first floor to get ice? the room was new but did not functioning. the coffee maker had no place to plug it in? one K cup, 4 creamers???we complained, they did fix some things told us we would be moved, but never were!!! the elevator kept breaking , the step were full of construction things. I can go on but it was the worst experience, EVER!!!!!! the beds were comfortable but not when the room is 87 degrees!! the front desk person V was very kind, i felt sorry because everyone was complaining!!!! just horrrible!!!!!!

The TV did not work. The AC did not work. The room was over 90°.

Clean rooms and shower. A Nice service that lets you to leave luggage after checking out. Beware The main reception hall is under construction

The hotel is under construction. There are no signs directing guests what to do or where to go and the staff was not helpful. We were treated poorly because we expressed our disappointment in the state of the hotel, no amenities that are listed, and we were given the wrong room with no attempt to fix the situation. Overall the updated room was nice but I would never recommend this hotel.

Overall, I liked my experience at the hotel - it is centrally located to all attractions, within walking distance to bakeries, cafes, etc. The bed and pillows were comfortable and clean on arrival. A couple of things to keep in mind: this hotel is under construction! The restaurant and gym were closed; the construction work starts at 8 am and there’s only one elevator for all the guests. If you are choosing this place for the convenience of on-site restaurant, I’d suggest double checking prior to booking. Also, we did not have a hair dryer in the bathroom and I requested it from the staff; after an hour passed, I had to go back to the check in desk to request it again (the front desk number was constantly busy). There is no iron in the room but they do have a nice Conair steamer available. We were missing the bottle of body wash the entire stay (even though there was cleaning service daily, nobody bothered to check that part and add the body wash bottle to our shower). The shower ceiling has rust stains and the paint was peeling off the walls by the elevator- hopefully, those things will be fixed during construction.

It was being remodeled and no A/C. Everything smelled like paint. Had to change rooms three times because of the key and heat. Awful experience and only had 4 hour to sleep. Would not recommend

The hotel is being renovated. The room was newly renovated and nice, but I was not expecting the condition of the hotel overall.
-
It’s under construction but they don’t tell you until the day before you check in. The staff are not helpful. Smells terrible and filthy carpet.

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations; however, the room was completely refurbished and clean. We interacted with very little staff—just the front desk and valet parking. They really ought to take this opportunity to build a proper parking area; the hotel needs it. Aside from that, we have always liked this hotel—we last stayed here six years ago. Highly recommended.

Hotels restaurant , Bar were closed. Place was hot. No hot water!
-
Honestly we stayed at this hotel not knowing they are currently under construction. They don’t have Ive machines. The water system is backwards because of the construction. The toilet in my room stopped working multiple times. My stay was 3/10!!!
-
The current lobby situation is dirty and under construction the air-conditioning was not working and it was extremely hot. The staff was helpful in my room was clean and well appointed the best part of the experience was my room The issue I had with my room was the air conditioning controls were very old and we’re not sensitive to minor adjustments. The fan was loud and was hard to sleep.

The property is being remodeled so the the outside looked rough but the room & staff were nice.
-
The hotel is under renovation and they have a makeshift lobby set up in the restaurant, everyone has to use the service elevator which is sometimes slow. I stayed in a newly renovated room which was clean but the AC unit did not work well had to call the front desk twice. Overall the location is convenient but I equally wished I would’ve know about the lobby renovation

OK, so I’ll start with the good stuff. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The room itself had just been remodeled and was very clean and the furnishings in the room were new and it was great but the rest of the hotel was horrible. It advertised a pool. It did not have a working pool. It advertised a restaurant in a bar. It had no restaurant no bar it advertise valet parking, but it didn’t tell you that it’s $80 for the valet parking per day, the hotel when we were, there was under major renovation and it looked to be moving slow, but everything was tore up. I mean everything on our stay there at 6 o’clock in the morning they started construction in the hallway outside of our room with hammering drilling cutting 6AM I would not recommend this hotel unless they finish all of the improvements and it’s substantially better. We did not enjoy our stay other than the staff in the room itself. The rest of the hotel was horrible and it was falsely advertised we should have been refunded part of our money. We spent $300 on a one night stay plus $80 on valet parking so for $380 we got no pool no restaurant no amenities whatsoever

The hotel was under significant renovations and should have been closed. The construction crew utilized the only working elevator as a freight elevator which was extremely challenging to navigate as there was often no space for the guests staying in the hotel. The reception desk and overall services listed were not available nor deducted from the overall price of the stay. For being a corporate hotel located in a central area, the hotel stay was overall unacceptable.
