Everything good but the bar closes too early
-
staff was wonderful, but problems with cleanliness of the room. Wallpaper is peeling and room smelt musty.
-
I like the place because it was a good location. Everything was within walking distance and or bus or train. Only negative is the valet fee. It’s $69 per night. That’s a little steep for our budget.
-
Hotel was in a good location with decent gym. Restaurant was amazing and great service. 2 negatives: Rooms were dirty and room service was poor and valet was extremely rude.
-
The parking situation was a shock that was not informed to me when booking or when we arrived. The parking is valet only BUT the hotel charges you 69$ a night for it. I am ok with that because everywhere in the city you have to pay for parking. I just would have liked it if the booking site or the hotel would inform their guests of this instead of being surprised 2 days later with a charge. Overall I was very happy.

Decent area and location, but resorts fees are steep for not alot of amenities

Clean room, comfy bed and good location.

Was very loud all night, filled with alot of young people. They gave me a key to a room that was already occupied, so at 11p after a day of total exhaustion and delayed flights i had to go BACK down to the main desk to change rooms. Once in new room, the bed was comfortable but out the window, was completely dark, as if i was looking up out of a tunnel, not ideal for early wake up. Once i left at 7a. I was somehow charged $97 for “mini bar” all of which i DIDNT touch! I had client meets for breakfast and was in no need of mini bar items. Very upsetting.

I booked for a double Queen but didn't get it until day2
-
Double room that we booked was not ready at check-in. Told we could switch in the morning after 11:00 but it was not ready until 4:00!

There was a huge mixup with my reservation for 6 that i am still trying to work through. I paid a deposit for 6 rooms, called a week ahead of time to verify 6 room reservation. All was in order until check in. They gave us 5 rooms. One person had to scramble to find another hotel room somewhere else because the Hamilton was sold out. I was assured I would only be charged for five rooms, but 6 rooms are still pending. Then I get an email after our stay welcoming us to the Hamilton in a few days. The hotel itself is great.

Hotel was serviceable but certainly nothing special. The facilities are definitely dated, and the room was a bit small. However, the location was pretty solid.
-
Great location. Close to attractions. AC not working. Room is clean and up to standard. Slept in 81 degrees room. However, they switched and gave us the upgrade room the next day plus $100 hotel credit.

My go to DC hotel. Great staff.

Clean room, clean hotel. A bit smell of humidity in the hallway
-
Very clean rooms and hotel. Staff was amazing. When I was checking in, the front desk was dealing with an angry customer about a toilet issue and was being yelled at by a mom and her daughter. The daughter was standing there and wouldn’t move when she didn’t like the answer she got. The staff member handled it well and got the daughter calmed down.

5 star for location, price, restaurants and staff, but hotel needs a major renovation and repairs. Everything in my room needed some sort of repairs with bathroom being the worst.

Room smelled like wet dog so we had the windows open majority of the time we were in the room. Sink had a leak that we didn’t find until putting stuff under the sink and finding it soaked. Check in was at 4pm and we got there right around that time; we were told that housekeeping was behind and they would text me when the room is ready. I waited until 7 and went to the front desk when she informed me the room had been ready and wasn’t sure why they hadn’t text me. She was very helpful and we got room credit to use for room service or the restaurant downstairs. 2 out of 4 elevators worked properly (one kept skipping our 3rd floor; the other kept going and pausing at every floor but the doors wouldn’t open). We didn’t let anyone know these issues at the time (room issue - they seemed like they were backed up anyway so we just dealt with the smell; elevator issue - we ended up taking our suitcases down the 3 flights of stairs to the lobby since we refused to get on the non-working elevators). Overall, the hotel is in a great location and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant downstairs was a nice perk to have when you want to take a food/drink to your room.

Nice place

Neither room we reserved was available the night we checked in. They did get us in the correct rooms for the 2nd night thru the end of our stay. Some rooms have been remodeled and some have not. Definitely some minor maintenance issues in the older rooms. Great location and pleasant staff made it a good trip overall even with the few initial bumps.
