This place is not kid-friendly and is very expensive.

Our room wasn’t clean, especially the shower but other than that it was fine

The staff was so helpful and friendly. The hotel and our room were both beautiful and comfortable. You can’t beat the view and I really enjoyed the fitness center and rooftop pool. The room service breakfast and mocha lattes were delicious.

Needs a complimentary breakfast..lol

The hotel was quirky. The staff at the front desk were friendly, helpful and personable. We were off to a good start. When we got into the room, we were highly disappointed with the odd bathroom with a sea shell shaped shower that left pools of cold water in the area that you would exit. The bathroom lights flickered and sometimes turned off on their own when you were in there using the bathroom. The faucet was positioned so high over the sink that water was everywhere. The beds were not comfortable and pillows were worse! The thermostat in the room also had a kind of its own as we would set the temperature at night and we’d wake up warm in the middle of the night with a higher temperature than our setting. The cleaning staff were very helpful. The pool bartender was not friendly nor did they seem interested in engaging. And finally, we found out that gratuity was automatically included in any purchase but only discovered after questioning a price for coffee and then seeing the very small print on the receipt that said gratuity would be added automatically to the bill. The location was good but we will not be returning.

A great location, delicious breakfast, and nice pool area. We have stayed at Hotel Zena multiple times so I chose it again to celebrate my 65th birthday. This time, the service was not what it's been in the past. Despite our VIP status with hotels.com we were given a very small room. They did offer to let us check-in early but that didn't end up being possible because of our schedules. In the past, Zena and Viceroy (sister property) have made a point to upgrade us or provide us with early check-in or late check-out. The lady at the pool bar had zero personality and no-one took the time to clear out old used towels from the pool's veranda. I do understand the hospitality business can be a schlog but I was just surprised by the lack of enthusiasm and sad to see that their exceptional service of the past may be slipping away.

Most amazing and unique hotel. Lovely room with an even better view. Parking, check in, pool area, staff, breakfast and check out were all excellent! Very relaxing and seamless experience/stay.

Great location, able to walk to several restaurants, a great ice cream shop and beautiful view from our room and the rooftop lounge. Staff was very friendly, and hotel was very clean.

Disappointing

Pool capacity allowance, specifically on Wednesday movie night. Eventhough outside guest are permitted with a fee. There should be a a reservation list for a head count. We couldn't enjoy that part of our stay due to the amount of people there. Possibly 70/30 with the hotel guest.
