Love it

There is an automatic charge of $35 for amenities. Even though we were NOT able to use the pool (only amenity) We happened to be here for Fourth of July and were hoping to watch from the pool rooftop area. We were told that you couldn’t see the fireworks from there and therefore we didn’t try. However, we were told later that a party have been scheduled to be up there and in fact, many were able to see the fireworks from there (not hotel guests). Very disappointed, indeed as this is NOT an inexpensive hotel. We got no amenities.

Rooftop pool is awesome.

Property is good but they give rooftop for parties to people other then guests and the crowd was terrible considering there are families staying too in hotel

This place was so great for us and our girls weekend. Feminist themed, life size lite brutes and a great pool bar. The room was spacious and clean. Will be going back.

Great location in DC

The hotel itself was excellent to include the food. The staff was not a knowledgeable as one would expect. There was a parade that closed the road in front of the hotel--and the parking garage--that was not mentioned in any of the communications between me and the hotel until we arrived on site. This meant that we could not get our car out on that day nor return it until the parade was over. Also, the cost of the parking was extraordinary. I could not find where that cost was listed anywhere. Finally, while the food was excellent, the restaurant was closed the entire time of our stay for special events so we ate in the downstairs bar. This also was not mentioned anywhere prior to our booking the stay.

It is both gay friendly and family friendly as guests varied widely from single business travelers to family vacationers. Staff was great all around, rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, linens were nice. The bathroom had this really cool, kind of tunnel shaped shower which made it fun yet practical. The hotel has a nice outdoor rooftop pool area that offers food and drink. While the food menu is appropriately limited, the offerings are diverse and food quality is good. My personal advice on room selection is that the junior King suite, for just a few dollars more, is really worth the difference in terms of additional space. I would however avoid rooms 1208, 1207 and 1209. While the views from there are awesome, these rooms are located directly below the pool deck and on nights when there is an event in the pool area, such as a movie night, it is extremely loud in the room right about the time you’d rather be going to sleep. That is the only negative comment I can make.

Paying guest should be made aware that private parties are be held during their stay and that they are unable to use the pool. This is the whole reason we booked this stay and we didn’t even get to use the pool or roof top in the evening. Additionally, the party that was being held was a security disaster with anyone pretty much getting in the hotel and past security. Luckily, it was a safe event but I would yield causation in the future and do a better job at protecting paid guests security. We were told we wouldn’t be able to get to the pool with our key due to the private party. We could get to the 14th floor and “security” or people dressed as security were asking for us to scan our card to give them access to the roof, as well as random visits notably accessing floors as we went to our room. At one point, someone asked if I needed help and followed me to the room while I was by myself as a female and it was not a hotel personnel but some random strange who said they were there for the party. Even after the party we had no access to the roof till morning. Again, this was the whole reason we booked this location we not only were looking forward to the pool but also the night skyline from the roof. On a positive, I was locked out of the hotel in the middle of the night and staff got me back in the hotel.

The room service and food was good The smell entering the hotel was abysmal from the front door and throughout the lobby . I paid for my room in advance they gave my room away and gave me a lesser room.
-
Couldn’t enjoy the bar top to its fullest, being that it is a huge reason for people wanting to go there but they have roof top parties that invite people not lodging, which is understandable from a business perspective but not ideal if you’re trying to have night out that isn’t overly congested

When we arrived at the hotel on Sunday 6/14 our room was not ready even though check in was at 3 pm. We had to wait with a toddler half hour until room was ready at 330. We then were told could not use the pool because there was a private event but that we could use the pool at the viceroy which was a 7 min walk. Very inconvenient for the money we paid and to walk with a toddler in that hot weather to use the pool at the viceroy was just terrible
