Hilton Washington DC Capitol Hill

Excellent stay, staff were friendly, walking distance to Capitol, Supreme Court and Library of Congress (and other museums). Conveniently located. Lots of restaurants in the area and close to Union Station. Will stay here again.

My only complaint is the person stationed at the elevators who stops you and gives you a guised sales pitch on a timeshare. I don’t appreciate that.

We had a two night stay. The location is great, especially if you don’t mind walking to places. You can get to everything by foot in about 30 minutes or less depending on the attraction. Valet staff were great, as were the doormen. They were very polite & helpful. Parking is very expensive and I was disappointed by the rate. Additionally, our bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly. Very surface level clean but I would have preferred a deeper clean. Overall, would stay again but I’d request a re-clean & I wouldn’t bring a car.

The bathroom didn’t seem to be thoroughly cleaned. It was strands of dark curly hair on the floor and in the shower. I had blonde braids during my stay.

The hotel was in a perfect central location to visit all the DC sights. The staff was so helpful with anything we needed or asked. Our room was clean and comfortable.

Great location for those who want to get to everything easily! The capitol and mall were all in walking distance! Restaurants were nearby and great! Enjoyed our stay!

Beyond that, the hotel felt very old and poorly maintained. The carpet had an unpleasant odor, and the bathroom was in particularly poor condition. The toilet and shower had what appeared to be rust stains, the vent above the shower was heavily rusted, and the bathroom smelled strongly of urine, making it seem as though it had not been properly cleaned. Unfortunately, the customer service only made the experience worse. When I called the front desk to ask whether the bottled water was complimentary or an additional charge, the employee was rude. When I later called to report the roaches, I was told I had to come downstairs to report it in person. After going to the front desk, the employee’s response was, “Well, what would you like me to do? Move you to a different room or what?” There was no apology, concern, or attempt to make the situation right. Between the cleanliness issues, the lack of maintenance, the roaches, and the poor customer service, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I will not stay at this property again and would not recommend it to others.

The hotel lobby was beautiful, clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and professional. The doormen were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and cold! We loved it. The breakfast was very good and the waiters did an excellent job.
