Elevator to front door oddly difficult to find from inside the hotel(which matters when you have a stroller) but other than that it was great! Exceptionally nice to our kids--gave them little prizes when we checked in.

Room was really nice! Recently updated. Coffee pods were bad-at least the decaf was. Liked the convenient location. Lots of ESL workers some of which were difficult to understand. Main lobby was huge, but it had an odd smell. It could have been food smells from the restaurant, but it wasn’t appealing. Moonlight tour was very nice, especially getting picked up and dropped off at the hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is definitely the staff! They continually go above and beyond to be helpful. In particular, Hotel employee has gone out of his way to be helpful, and the kindness ofHotel employee was greatly appreciated.

My prior comment still stands. I tried to cancel my reservation well within the cancellation period. I tried all the Hyatt suggested options none of them worked. It is quite clear to me that Hyatt deliberately makes the cancellation process impossible to complete and just hope that people would rather pay than dispute. I will dispute this charge. Even my credit card company, after they tied on my behalf to cancel the reservation and after trying for over 40 minutes then finally being disconnected, they suggested I dispute the charge.

Clean property, close walk to DC sites and downtown.

I liked the nightlights that were motion activated in the bathroom. It was very crowded, noisy and overpriced. I would never stay there again. Too many convention and meetings. Outrageously expensive for an average room with crap coffee, no real milk, basic amenities like spare qtips, water bottles etc were missing that one could find at other hotels- the room was not fully carpeted therefore I heard the suitcases dragged across the floor from the room above me. The pool towels were woeful tiny tee-towels. It was a convention centre not a luxury hotel.

I've stayed at this property twice now and overall it's a very good hotel that I will return to. THE GOOD: The property is very clean. The gym, pool, and all amenities are excellent. The restaurant and restaurant staff were the highlight of the trip - fantastic. NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: Check-in at the front desk was not helpful. There was no bellman available, so I had to move everything myself from the first floor to the front desk with no assistance. With 4 suitcases, a helping hand would go a long way. I didn't feel particularly welcomed on arrival. Parking is a challenge, especially for overnight guests. The valet service needs some updates. I had an incident where I parked for 10 minutes and the attendant demanded my key and spoke to me in a very rude, condescending way, like I was a child. I reported it to the hotel staff but was told the valet and hotel are separate. Apart from the front desk welcome and valet experience, everything else was good. If they can improve assistance on arrival and the valet professionalism, this would be a 5-star stay.
