Hyatt Place Washington DC/National Mall

A long story of a very helpful head of maintenance and i got tickets. There were a couple of other staff members that helped too. Did I ever hear from hotel management? Nope. Overall, the staff here was helpful, cheerful and friendly. Very engaging. They made the stay very nice. Breakfast bar is great. Food good and the variety exceptional. No waffles, but who needs them when you got pancakes, eggs, meats, grains, yogurts and fresh fruits. Clean. And once again attentive staff who engage with guests. Elevators are fast. Never a long wait unless you're going to penthouse. The tip is to go to 1st floor and call that Elevator. Don't try from. Room floors. Hotel is located to make Mall Tourism walkable. But this was July 4th so security to Mall was only accessible at check points making crossing the Mall to the north side a true challenge. Overall, I recommend.

Great check-in process with the manager on duty. Unfortunately I wasn’t aware they are housing the national guard for the next year, not something I believe should be happening. If you wanted to use the facilities too bad because they were all over the place. Friendly staff.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and nice location (if you’re okay walking) Some cosmetic updates needed in the room but overall fine.

Location good Staff is non client oriented, non responsible and non focused in solving problem. They have no complimentary water in room, but also they want to sell water from bar; no breakfast boxes and no finding the way to solve the problem.

Fold out couch was a great accommodation for a family of 5. Breakfast was excellent. Our parking never worked properly and we were not able to notify staff before wanting our car.

This hotel was not as pictured. It was dingy and very worn. Carpets were dirty, bathrooms felt unclean and very used. For over $400 a night I expected a cleaner, maintained hotel.

Room was great and staff was wonderful. Breakfast was a huge plus!

Staff was friendly. Great location for walking around downtown DC. Only 1.5 blocks from metro station at federal center SW. Room was ok. Stains on couch made it feel less clean than we would have hopped. Some repairs needed around the room. Biggest thing was that our room was changed by hotel staff from 2 queen room with a sofa bed to a king suite. Though the upgrade was thoughtful they missed that we had 4 travelers. There were no more queen rooms available so we made it work but my kids weren’t psyched to share a sofa sleeper for 4 nights.

The hallways got very hot and did not smell good in the heat, but that would be the only suggestion to work on.

The room layout in the suite was fantastic. The breakfast was large and varied. Great location - close to the Mall and safe. The room was not as clean as I would have liked - it had not been vacuumed and did not get vacuumed throughout our 5 night stay.

Staff was excellent. The morning staff at breakfast were so nice. Check in and check out was easy fast and the staff very friendly. The water pressure in the shower. It was hard to wash long thick hair with minimal water coming out of the shower head.

Very clean and modern, great location, staff was excellent, breakfast was great and convenient.

Great location with easy access to Metro and the DC Mall. 5 minute walk from Federal Center Metro. Breakfast was good and coffee great. Staff were very helpful and beds were comfortable. Definitely would stay again

The staff was perhaps the best I’ve ever dealt with, they were pleasent, professional and helpful Highly recommend it as a family friendly hotel. Great walking location close to everything.
