The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed and convenient location. The separate Kitchen space was amazing. The layout with two buildings was confusing for taxi pickup and food delivery. Waking up to construction at 7am was also less than ideal.

We loved this place. The rooms were clean, simple and nicely designed. The location was really great. We really liked the in-room kitchen.

Incredible value! Right across from GWU where our daughter is living and we absolutely loved staying at State Plaza. The room was large, lots of amenities and very friendly staff. Highly recommend!

These are previously apartments, and due to the age you can smell the stale smoked in scent everywhere. For what we were gouged to stay here three days I would never come anywhere near here again. Rooms were last updated in early 2000's, and the decor is oriental? At 9pm there were homeless people in the lobby, and the staff paid them no mind sitting around on the furniture eating and napping. There was feces on the light switch in our bathroom, silverfish coming out of the walls, the AC barely moved any air on the highest setting. Mirrors are all old and im bad shape with the mirror peeling, fixtures are all wonky and not straight, bathroom skink was cracked, water WREAKS of sulphur/rotten eggs. Shampoo was watered down and the conditioner smelled old, kinda like that old babershop wet hair and barbasol smell. We were never greeted except one time by the belhop holding the door. Our last day asked for a wake up call, never got it. This is the very last place I would tell anyone to stay. Thats what my money bought, was this honest to god avoid this dump review. And dont contact me to apologize or offer me anything because I would never come back even if it was free. You guys gouged a lot of Money from a lot of people over the 4th of july and I hope this place gets condemned.

Great location near Lincoln Memorial, staff was great and helpful. Room needs updating, floor was uneven and carpet was in need of repair. I would stay here again for the location and staff, I felt safe here with my 3 children.

Our stay was excellent. Staff were very friendly. We were there for 250 fireworks on July 4. You couldn’t even tell the staff was stressed by the number of folks staying. Returning to the hotel at 1 AM they had water bottles for us. I don’t recommend the hotel restaurant. I ordered Beef BiBamBap and was served a vegan kabab?

Staff, however, were friendly and helpful and the location was excellent for visiting GW student.

Great shower water pressure which is rare these days, air condition was working really well in this 103 DC heat and beds were comfortable. Location for our needs was good. It was nice to have a full fridge in the kitchenette. I liked the Foggy Bottom neighborhood. Self Parking was available with height restrictions but I would ask in advance what happens if full.

Room was large and clean. Staff was very accommodating with all asks.

Refrigerator didn’t work well, had to throw out food we bought lettuce, eggs, chicken.

Overnight parking is available, but it comes with an additional fee. Street parking is also an option, but you have to move your car by a certain time in the morning and then pay for parking again during the day. It can be a bit of a hassle if you're not familiar with the parking rules. Other than the parking situation, we had a good experience and would consider staying here again.

It was a pleasant stay and the mall was very close to the hotel

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

It was decent. We were upgraded to a new room (17th) floor. Only one elevator was working so you usually had to wait for sometime. Nothing too serious. Wish they would have put a mini fridge in the room and left out the steamer. Not a bad location

My staff stayed for a conference and enjoyed the hotel and the hotel environment. Thank you
