State Plaza Hotel

The room was kept clean every day and at this hotel it was quiet didn’t hear any noise at all

Very big rooms, full size refrigerator was nice

I would absolutely stay here again! I simply do not travel a lot, so there was a bit of a learning curve in getting around the space. There are two buildings that are connected, but not at all levels. From the side I was on, to reach the restaurant required going to the ground level, exiting the back of the building and walking across a short paved area into a small parking garage, and continuing straight ahead into a glass door that is part of the second building. The restaurant name is not on the exterior doors, so I wasn't sure I was in the right place and just wasted some time. I should have just asked the staff right away, but I assumed user error, lol. They were wonderful, and the entire building is very clean and well organized. It's still an older building and I've never been a fan of the old-building smell that many people appreciate, but that's D.C. in general. The bathroom was large and had plenty of counter space. Closet space was much more than I needed. Dresser was also large. I was traveling for work and the desk was ample for two monitors, too. I never found vending machines but didn't look too hard, so those conveniences were why I can't go all the way to 100% 5 stars, but I walked to where I needed to be and that's a great bonus!

Room was very spacious, included a separate full kitchen area and a changing room (with doors) between the sleeping & bathroom areas. This was a huge bonus for a female traveling with teenage boys. Everything was clean- there wasn’t even dust on the TV remote. The TV was smaller than those in most hotels, but we were exhausted after a day of sightseeing. Complementary bottled water was in our room at arrival. Located by the GW University campus & within walking distance to the Lincoln Memorial. It seemed to be a very safe & clean area. Unlike other cities, there wasn’t any public drug use. Front desk staff were very nice & assisted with finding alternate parking (which happened to be across the street and free on weekends) and recommended Tatte cafe for breakfast (AMAZING). Will definitely stay here again.

It was clean, quiet and located in the middle of Washington D.C. The shower was a bit defective, as it would sometimes randomly go towards bathmode

I always stay at State Plaza while in DC. It’s like having your own apartment in the cool part of DC!

Super convenient to the George Washington University Law School. A rare find in DC. Highly recommend.

Breakfast available but limited choices, otherwise excellent

The hotel was excellent! The room was spacious and very clean, with a bright and comfortable bathroom. The staff provided great service, and the location was perfect. I also loved the convenient parking with an EV charger. Excellent value for the price, and the late check-out was a wonderful bonus! Nothing! We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our 2 days here at the hotel, and we will always stay here if we come back. I cannot say enough about the staff! Every single person on staff genuinely connected with us. The room was spacious! We had a small kitchen, so we would eat breakfast in... and then be out on the town the rest of day. Cleaning lady was wonderful, and restocked our little kitchen each day with coffee and ice. Nice! We loved being around the George Washington Campus, which made for lots of places to eat. For easy eats hit Western Market. International quick eat restaurants. We LOVED North Italian Restaurant about an 8 minutes beautiful walk for a sit down vibrant beautiful restaurant.

Room was very clean, staff was very accommodating in suggesting places, or getting a cab, was courteous in checking us in a little early; breakfast was reasonably price and filling. Location was walking distance to the National Mall, which was our intended place of visit; walking at night was also safe.

I absolutely loved my stay at State Plaza Hotel! The location in Washington D.C. is perfect, walking distance to everything. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and they surprised me with a room upgrade which made my experience even more special. The room was very clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. I felt very well taken care of. Thank you so much for the amazing hospitality! Honestly nothing to complain about. Everything exceeded my expectations. I will definitely come back.

This was a wonderful hotel to stay in. Cleaning service everyday with fresh towels (hard to find in the chain hotels). Very helpful front desk. Room was very comfortable. Would stay again.
