The hotel is clean and in a safe neighborhood. If you are primarily walking and using public transportation it’s not located to very many accessible points but a bus route. That said we walked and biked and are young and were fine. The staff was not informative of any amenities. We had to ask or overhear so I am listing the ones we enjoyed. Lemon water and coffee served fresh each morning and a communal mini fridge. Ice machine on third floor (no elevator) and runs out fast so get ice early in the day. There is someone at the desk 24/7 so easy to ask for whatever you need. Overall great stay, for the value and location I feel like we got a great deal!

Old building, small and cute. Not enough accessible outlets for our family of 4 to charge devices over night. Being on the 3rd floor the water took a while to heat for the shower.

This place was great! The area of town was AMAZING and only a 5-10 minute walk to the metro. The only downside was that the wifi and TV in our room had very poor connection which was inconvenient at times.

Great location and great place to stay. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are clean and tidy up daily. Everything was great, only one flaw, which was the 2 male concierge we're not very helpful or friendly. But\nThe young lady in the day was so nice help.My son in many ways by holding her luggage while we walked out to get a bite to eat before check in. That I appreciated so much

The room was clean. The bathroom could be more cleaner.

Great location. Very affordable.
-
I liked the historical decor and style.
-
a window in the room was facing some close space - with limited light would be good to renovate some parts and areas
-
Toothpaste Air conditioning is too loud

I liked the Location and it was priced well for our budget on this trip Room was a little smaller than I like for two of us but only 2 days so we were able to manage

Really good value for money in a great location. It's not the most luxurious place ever but it's still gonna meet anyone's basic needs and then some. They also have staff at the front desk 24/7 on site which is great if you're ever in need. Only real negatives were there being no fridges or cups, plates in the rooms. Decor was a bit shabby but for me that wasn't a big deal

Very good value for the price. The location is great as well, close to the centre of the city. The bed was comfortable. The hotel itself wasn't very good looking, quite dirty. The bathroom made a lot of noise which wasn't comfortable to sleep. The staff is almost rude

I understand the hotel is over 100 years old & that's why my review is very lenient. The only suggestion I have is for room 212. The TVs need to be larger to compete with most hotels and they need to be properly attached to the wall. Also body wash is more appreciated than facial soap. Thank you for having 24 hour amazing staff! Thank you for having water in the lobby! Thank you for being affordable and historic! Thank you for finding window units that keep a room ice cold! Great hotel!

No elevators if you can’t do stairs but nice hotel

Location No parking no elevators no refrigerator

Fantastic inn near Dupont circle with a great quality-price for expensive DC downtown.

The property is a beautiful old house. We had a suite with a fireplace, beautiful old design elements such as an arch over the window and a built-in corner unit. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioning is provided by window units. Keep in mind there are no elevators, but Tmore, the guy who worked the front desk was very nice and helped me with luggage. He also went upstairs to get ice for me.

Location and stuff. Relatively clean. Room at basement level which was not the problem after all. Problem was that the room door was at a semi open area, not the inside of the building, next to a weird alley - only railings between them and a broken lock(there are photos of it presented, but it is not specified that there are rooms there) . On the inside, destroyed carpet and wallpapers... , it was another room presented as standard in the photos, which seemed way better, this specific one nowhere to be seen in them. Not the worst, but could have been better and more accurate in the description

They allocated us in a basement! The room was smaller than expected
