Disappointing

Location Rooms were down 2 stairs. I had to carry luggage myself. No elevators. Staff ...zero customer service.

Superb

It was conveniently located to everywhere I wanted to go, and the building itself has some vintage charm. It felt very homey, especially with the trees shading the sidewalk from the street. Staff were friendly, helpful, and available 24/7. I couldn't believe I paid so little. If I go back to DC, I would love to stay here again. Bed was firm, loud, and didn't handle the weight of two people very well.

My room was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable. I was very happy with the amount of electrical outlets and USB ports in the room. The bathroom was modern and plenty of hot water. I was just a block or two from restaurants and shops and bars. The only down side was the TV gave me problems. A couple people checked it out, but I could only get one channel to work. Luckily, there was free internet and I had plenty of streaming capabilities on my tablet.

Exceptional

Unfortunately, there were so many mosquitoes in the hotel’s garden that I couldn’t enjoy sitting outside for more than half an hour.

It was a nice enough hotel room with private bathroom. The AC unit (cooling and heating) was not working properly. We also had a mouse problem. In the middle of the night a mouse was running through our suitcases and our table. My girlfriend was 4 months pregnant so this was not a pleasant experience.

The hotel was very nice and clean, the staff was nice as well. The possibility of storing food in the fridge at reception as well as microwave were pretty handy. The only unpleasant thing was the night before we left, we heard some noises (like scratching and swishing) and in the morning we found, that in the room were mice as the packed food had holes and was eaten. Probably a common problem of wooden buildings.

Staff were welcoming and friendly. No fridge or coffee in the room, but it was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are clean and well stocked with all the amenities Close to excellent restaurants and the picturesque Meredian Hill park 5 minutes walk away Hotel is on a major bus line and walking distance to many interesting neighborhoods. definitely will stay there again

Very good

Great location and had a super cute vibe. No elevators (which we were prepared for), the staff wasn’t the friendliest, and there was an emergency that prevented our room from getting cleaned.

Overall a strong B+

Excellent location- very nice and walkable neighbourhood. Close to a ton of restaurants, bars. Staffs were very polite. Room was clean. Overall loved my stay at Winsor Inn.

Room was clean but very minimalist. Extremely uncomfortable bed and very noisy hallways. Hotel has very very very old decor so if you care about aesthetics at all, this isn’t for you. If you don’t mind a little back pain and it’s a good deal, go for it!
