Candlewood Suites West Springfield by IHG

The staff at the Candlewood were all fabulous! Anytime there was a question or concern they were knowledgeable, kind, and able to find a good solution

When we arrived, there were people drinking in the parking lot, which immediately made us feel uncomfortable. The hotel appeared very run-down, and the room was not what we expected. The overall environment did not feel safe or welcoming, so we made the decision to leave rather than spend the night. I can’t comment on what it would have been like to stay overnight since we left shortly after checking in, but our first impression was enough that we felt it was worth paying for another hotel. I hope management addresses these issues so future guests have a better experience.

The bed was very soft & comfortable. The kitchen had new & stocked kitchenware. Convenient location to several restaurants, shopping stores, casino, theater. Needs new everything; the floors creaked, carpet is very worn, tub had several cracks, people above us sounded like elephants walking around, no breakfast buffet due to "you have a kitchen in your room, you make breakfast yourself". Then lower the price if you're not going to provide it.

The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the dove products. The pool was disgusting I don’t know how people were swimming in that. I asked one of the working walking by if it was supposed to look like that & she said everything looked fine but it did not. The water was green and cloudy. The jacuzzi was also green. I did not get in that water which sucks because I did want to have a relaxing time in the pool and jacuzzi. I also reached out the customer service about it and got no response. I also saw a bug or mouse trap in the cabinet under the bathroom sink which kind of scared me too. I don’t know for the amount of money one night is, that was just unacceptable to me. I actually wanted to check out the same day but I didn’t want to lose out on money. Pictures of amenities are definitely deceiving.

Nothing pool was merky clearly not balanced at all staff was rude to my guess but when i appeared found common sense ended my daughters party and hid when we were leaving my party was quiet while millions of kids ran wild with out being kicked out!

Really friendly and helpful staff. Some of the visitors were a little sketchy. Not sure if this was a coincidence. Room was clean but showed its age. Good stay overall

The staff was very nice!

Hotel and room are awkwardly decorated, that's the only way I can describe it. Electrical plugs are not conveniently placed- none at bedside, lamp wiring runs all over the floor to reach plugs; a recliner is right up against the side of the bed- no clearance. Bathroom has a huge scratched up wooden shelf holding a hand towel. Anyway, I confirmed the next morning that my long term lodging was all set, had coffee and purchased a cheese serving for breakfast, charged to my room. Checked out and went on my way. I received a receipt e-mailed later that day for another room charge in addition to the small breakfast. I notified the hotel immediately, and the only response from hotel and expedia was a copy of the hotel's charge to my credit card. I responded with a copy of my prepaid receipt, sent to me by expedia, and am waiting for a resolution or I will take it up with my credit card carrier.

I didn't feel weird about how clean the bed really was before I got in it. Everything was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. (And it was cheaper!) It's conveniently located to lots of restaurants, fast food and shopping. True, it's a 15 minute drive from Northampton, but my next trip out to Noho, I'll stay here.

I enjoyed my stay at Candlewood Suites-West Springfield by IHG. It was perfect for our one night stay. Nice facility and pleasant staff. I enjoyed the free coffee. I wish they would offer breakfast at at Candlewood Suites-West Springfield by IHG. The parking was a tad crowded due to a giant truck spreading out and taking up 10 spots. Also, the pool room was extremely hot. They need better ventilation in there.

Unfortunately we got locked out of our room because of an error on the hotel’s part they gave us a room with a broken door. We waited an hour or so for the owner to come and you could tell it’s happened multiple times before the door had marked of other attempts.i just wish I did pay full price for a not fully functioning room

The ratings by Expedia are FALSE. This was the most disgusting room I had ever been in. Simply unacceptable. I even checked for bed bugs and didn’t sleep a wink because of the smell in the room. How on earth are people sleeping here ?!? The hallways and rugs are filthy. Staff was ok. Don’t waste your money. I’m requesting a refund simply off the embarrassment of booking this for my family. Never ever again.

It was clean., quiet. And the pool was great. Can’t say anything negative., all was great!
