Red Roof Inn Plus West Springfield

The room we had was unclean. The floor had some kind of oil all over. We didn’t bother asking for a different room because from other reviews, we’d probably get a worse room than this. We went to the store and bought some fantastic spray and papertowels and cleaned the floor ourselves. The a/c unit was obnoxiously loud all night long. It was like having a tractor trailer truck parked outside our room. The fridge didn’t work properly. And the guests a few doors down decided to have a VERY loud conversation on the balcony at 4:00 a.m. the pot smokers out front of the building didn’t abide by state laws nor were they asked to not smoke that close to the building, even though there are signs posted. The “pillow top mattress” was obviously an old mattress with a board under it. Not comfortable by any means. This was THE worst accommodation I ever experienced.

However, the first room we were given reeked so heavily of smoke that we had to request another room. Unfortunately that room was not much better. They were both labeled as "nonsmoking". The sink drain was clogged so water would build up in the sink. The room was freezing cold and when we turned down the AC everything became damp with humidity. We were unable to use the TV - Netflix. We tried to spend as little time as possible in the room. It was also obvious that there are many people that "live" at this motel full time, as we saw a school bus dropping off kids at one of the rooms.

The room s were clean and spacious and the staff was amazing

For $99/night what do you expect ? Very basic room but it was clean and quiet.

Okay place. Just passing through so it was convenient to restaurants. Comfortable bed.

Room was clean. Driving up to the property made you 2nd guess your decision. But overall, it was just what I was looking for. Somewhere to sleep and take a shower and be out bright and early!

It was ok for a break in our long drive - nothing fancy. The coffee provided in the lobby was not quality at all. Not a fan of all the activity in the parking lot or the fact the doors go straight outside.

This place was gross! It wasn’t clean, you can tell the sheets are gross with the discolor, the bathroom light for the sink didn’t work, there were dirty marks on the wall, the bath was gross (thank go I brought flip flops to wear inside) I got home and took all my stuff into the machine and gave my self a shower. I will not go back to this location.

About the room: On the surface, the room looks nice. Upon further observation, the floor was dirty, there are boogers smeared on the walls, and the top linen on the blanket smelled of urine.

Tv did not work

There was broken furniture and blood stains on the sheets.

We had water leak so the whole floor was soaking.

There is a $50.00 fee that is not stated on website that they say is refundable, and REQUIRED, definitely dishonest and did not receive my so-called $50 deposit back for over a week. Also they bother you with text messages and phone calls to the room just for stupid marketing purposes and got woken out of a sleep because of it. Would not stay at this location again.
