My Place Hotel - Salt Lake City I-215/West Valley City, UT

When we first entered the room, we found that the beddings were visibly dirty and covered with dirt. We immediately contacted the hotel and requested a clean bedding replacement, a room change, or a cancellation with a full refund. Unfortunately, the hotel refused all three options. Despite the room being provided to us in an unacceptable condition, the staff did not offer a reasonable solution. For a hotel stay, basic cleanliness should be a minimum expectation. Being given a room with dirty bedding and then having the hotel refuse to replace the bedding, change the room, or provide a full refund made the experience extremely frustrating. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

Exceptional

Its good for the price but even on their website it doesn't have the deposit amount listed. If it had it listed it would be better. The elevator needs some work it is super slow and scary sounding

Noisy location

Staff very helpful. Room nice sized and very clean with many extras provided. However, not happy with bed or pillows. Should have had comfy sitting chair as shown in pictures.

Kitchen, Staff, Cleanroom, Laundry

The charge you the deposit no matter how clean and undamaged you leave the room. Charge you a whole 200 at the beginning mg saying they’ll return it. Nope they just keep it even if you leave the room just like you got it. Hate it and won’t come back. It’s the second time.

Great place to stay all around

If there is any room for improvement, the outside of the hotel could use a "once a day" clean up. There are brand new apartments next to the hotel. Some apartment residents seem to be walking their dogs in the grass around the hotel. It's not the hotel's fault, but ultimately hotel residents will see it. So it might be good if once a day someone went out and cleaned up if any doggy surprises were left behind.

Superb

For the price i really cant complain my main issues with this place was that there seemed to be issues with the hotel key cards after checking in my card didnt work had to come back down to reactivate and after the first night my card stopped working again and had to go back down to reactivate again talked to another person who had the same issue. My second issue is with how high the hold charge is i understand there are actual appliances in the room but 200 dollars is very steep and should be announced a bit more but like i said you have plenty of appliances so maybe justifiable. Other then that really cant beat the price of the room and with everything you need in the room it is extremely conveniant.

Not the best place. The toilet didnt flush well and it was leaky on the side. The hand soap was a bar of soap and the bathroom was small. The ac hardly worked at all! Super hot!

Overall is fine, property is well maintained, but sanitary of bedding can be improved. Good choice if you have one key cash available.

Poor

So when my husband started staying there it was pretty nice, but about a month in there was a management change and that was when it changed on a dime. We had upped his stay once already and we were upping it anther time. This was the most hectic unnecessary experience. There was no notice that the recheck was going to be different and they made me resend information they already had on file and they charged my card $200. Not a hold. They charged it. It was so bad I complained to corporate and instead of reaching out to me the person who complained they approached my husband and vaguely threatened his for MY actions. We did end up having to stay one more week and they took ANOTHER $200 "deposit" not a hold. The end of the stay was on the 18th and the reup had been a week before that and I had to final a fraud claim with my bank for the charges because I still haven't received them back. He also left 2 days into his 7 day say and I tried to get a partial refund and they never responded to Hotels.com so I paid them for a room they for sure resold because they were almost completely full! I would not recommend this place to anyone. If nothing else because in stead of just a hold they will charge you double what I have ever seen for a hotel.

We chose this hotel specifically because the room was advertised as having a kitchenette. However, there were no pots, pans, dishes, or basic cooking utensils in the room. We were told that we would have to pay extra for a kitchen kit. We have stayed at many hotels with kitchenettes, and basic cookware and dishes have always been provided. A kitchen without any kitchenware is essentially unusable—it is like providing a bed without pillows, blankets, or bed linens.

Clean comfortable room. Location was good for my needs, access to dining etc. They were 2 hours behind for checking in on this day. Was very inconvenient for me not being from near there, and the explanation was not explained very well. Said, "people left things in the single bed rooms", therefore they weren't ready until 5pm.

It’s a clean property I am impressed how clean it is. I stay at a lot of places and none of them are as clean as this place There’s nothing about the property I didn’t like

Everything was great staff could have been friendlier not bad surprised about the deposit costs no communication on how much they held my card for. They only said it is posted on the website. On the positive note room was great it was clean and perfectly stocked. Check in was easy and great price for a nice stay

I had stayed at this hotel one previous occasion and come to find out The hotel changed their deposit amount from $100 to $200. I did not have enough money for the deposit and ended up sleeping in my car and the hotel refused to refund me the money I paid booking the room!!!!! Absolutely the worst hotel staff and ownership!!!!
