Red Roof Inn Plus Long Island - Garden City

The property was very rundown. There were cracks in the wall and sink. The bathroom was very clean. The room, despite being non-smoking, reeked heavily of cigarette and cannabis smoke covered up very strongly by cleaning chemicals. The smell made it difficult to sleep, it was that strong. The fire alarm went off for about a minute at 11:30 PM, thankfully no fires, but was very disruptive. This is a pet friendly hotel, so there were dogs barking at all hours of the night. The front desk staff was very kind, but there are clearly some operational deficiencies. Would not recommend.

Run down hotel

Room was ok, staff was ok but not too friendly a lot of parking. I smell weed all over the place.

The hotel is in a rundown state. The front desk staff were rude and un helpful. We stayed with our daughter and our rooms were far apart. There was a bad smell in the hallway. The only working ice machine was on the 5 th floor. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and our whole room felt damp.

There were two roaches in my room within an hour of each other at 3am. Hotel staff offered another room two rooms directly under mine. Anyone in PestControl knows that line would be infested.

The property is in need of a major renovation from top to bottom. Our room had a cracked sink, the bed was uncomfortable, and the overall condition of the hotel did not match the photos shown online. The elevators had peeling paint, and the hallways appeared dirty and poorly maintained throughout our stay. For the price charged, I expected much better accommodations. The online pictures make the property look updated and well-kept, but that was not the reality we experienced. The staff was the highlight of our stay, but unfortunately the condition of the hotel would make it difficult for me to stay here again.

Not much. Nice staff but the facility was horribly over-priced ($350+ per night for a cheap hotel) and in bad need of updates, cleaning and repair. Just about everything.

The staff was friendly The property smelled and looked as though it has not receved any maintenance in a very long time.

On the outside of the building seems like a really nice place and probably the lobby was good as well and the room is a good big size The elevator look like a freight elevator the bathroom was really tiny the plumbing is really bad because you couldn't even take a shower it was clogged the bathtubsame as the sink

The property was very outdated the light shades were broken the draws were chipped and very old the microwave was burnt inside the light over the bed bulb was broken and didn’t work and no shade on it the elevator paint was peeling off also overall the property needs to be updated for-the price your charging !!! Poorly Maintained !!!

Didn’t have it We booked this property through Booking.com well in advance, but when we arrived, we were informed that the room had been double-booked and they could not honor our reservation. Despite having a confirmed booking, we were left without accommodations and had to make last-minute arrangements. This was a major inconvenience and caused unnecessary stress to our trip. Very disappointing experience

420 smell from outer entrance until room. Hair/pubes in the bathroom as well as painted over hair. Shower drain extremely slow when showering. Sketchy setting. Front receptionist wasn’t friendly. TV didn’t turn on at all. Fire alarm went off at 2am most likely from someone smoking. Was a last minute thing but will never stay in one of these hotels again. Rather sleep in my vehicle. Best experience was checking out.

Nothing good to say about my stay .. Needs major upgrade for the amount you charge per night its ran down nasty smell and dirty elevators nasty broken down paint pilling...
