Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Long Island - Garden City

This is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed. I travel a lot and have stayed at many different hotels across the states. The interior is very old and you can tell; the lobby and hall ways are dirty. Room is clean but again things are old and barely work, especially the shower drain. The biggest turn offs for me were 1. I found pube hair on the clean towel 2. Every night the bathroom smelled like weed and smoke; it was so strong that the smell dissipated into our room. I have never experienced this at any other hotels before. Clearly this one does not enforce non smoking rules

Nothing stood out. The only positive was the location. The bed was very uncomfortable and hurt my back. The building smelled strongly of marijuana, and I believe I was bitten by bed bugs, leaving me with itchy bumps on my head and arms.

Clean quiet room, after a 4 hour drive I was out cold Heavy rain interfered with satellite TV reception.

Is it a homeless shelter? Or temporary housing for needy families. I’ll never stay there again.

The stay wasn’t a great experience. I would like my money back .

Smell by elevators was bad. We requested a non animal room and was told all rooms housed animals. I read elsewhere that that was not true.

Someone was possibly murdered idk or it was a Suicide . The large police presences was unnerving
