Colonial Houses, an Official Colonial Williamsburg Hotel

Ok, the prices for this room and any of the Colonial Williamsburg properties are expensive, but staying directly on the colonial streets was really nice. It gave us the opportunity to walk to restaurants and to simply walk the site that is Colonial Williamsburg. The room was decorated in the fashion of the time with a canopy on the bed etc. It wasn't large but was nice. We enjoyed our stay

Very close to attractions

We enjoyed ourselves in the quaint kind of room we were. The room was freezing when we got there, but managed to adjust it well. The place had a beautiful atmosphere-especially at night. The streets were quiet and "very colonial".

Stayed in the Brick House Tavern and had an amazing stay! The bed was so comfortable and the room itself had such cozy vibes! My husband and I loved it because it felt more like home than a hotel. The amenities were great and we liked sitting by the tranquility pool and hot tub at the Inn. It was worth every penny and we will definitely be back!

Super clean and cute room - I stayed in the Tavern Rooms down on the Duke of Gloucester Street. The bellmen were exceptionally helpful and provided the shuttle to the room and even to my next destination at William and Mary. I did get to enjoy a pedicure at the spa which was a quick walk from where my room was. I would definitely stay here again!

Good parking easy walking distance to all attractions

The "pool" advertised is a half mile away. The room you select when booking is not the room you get. They really don't like "third party" bookings. They try to upsell their services and it's already really expensive to stay in these tiny rooms. I am 5'7” tall and hit my head 3 times on the slanted shower ceiling. There is no comfortable seating in the room and the slanted ceiling makes it uncomfortable to sit on the bed. And after all that, they charge $35 for parking a half a block away. The floors need to be swept or vacuumed. The bed got dirty because our feet picked up the crud from the floor. Would not stay here again.

I was never given wifi info The spa refused me my anemities and guest services/spa manager never got back up with me to get a resolution (this was a problem going back to check in). The location was fantastic! I love that Jefferson lived there and it was centrally located! One of the smallest bathrooms in a colonial house. They do use a lot of bleach. Doors slam at night (noisy neighbors). I am optimistic of a call back and resolution to my issues.

This is the perfect place to stay, especially if one wants to be immersed in the Colonial experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lewis House. It was fun to stay at a recreated 18th century house (with modern amenities).

We stayed in the Colonial House located right in the village. It was exceptional.

Friendly staff and amazing experience!

Everything was great the staff is very welcoming and friendly. My only issue was the key to our carriage house would get stuck in the main door and take me about two minutes of wiggling and pulling to get out. WD 40 I’m sure could come to the rescue!

The tavern rooms are a completely immersive experience within walking to all things Colonial Williamsburg. The pool/fitness center is off site at the check in (about .2 of a mile) so may not feel as welcoming but worth it if you don’t mind walking. So much history! The grounds are beautifully kept and inviting areas throughout the grounds. We would love to come back and wish we had a longer stay!
