We enjoyed our stay at the Lewis House. It was fun to stay at a recreated 18th century house (with modern amenities).

The rooms are well appointed, clean, and comfortable. They're equipped like most typical hotel rooms, except maybe for a microwave. But with the variety of cuisine within walking distance, who wants food from a microwave? If you're the type to enjoy an evening stroll, one through a colonial village is waiting just outside your room. And if you prefer quiet when it comes time to bed down for the night, I can't think of a place more quiet then Colonial Williamsburg after dark. One thing comes to mind. Reserving a room through Booking doesn't include "complimentary" passes to Colonial Williamsburg's properties, like booking through Colonial Williamsburg directly. Booking is less expensive, but that's the difference. If you know you will be otherwise occupied and don't need the CW tickets, then Booking is the way to go for reservations.

Super cute and fun to stay in. Inside Colonial Williamsburg so walking distance to everything in the area.

Very nice property in a great location
-
We stayed in the Colonial House located right in the village. It was exceptional.
-
Friendly staff and amazing experience!
-
Everything was great the staff is very welcoming and friendly. My only issue was the key to our carriage house would get stuck in the main door and take me about two minutes of wiggling and pulling to get out. WD 40 I’m sure could come to the rescue!
-
The tavern rooms are a completely immersive experience within walking to all things Colonial Williamsburg. The pool/fitness center is off site at the check in (about .2 of a mile) so may not feel as welcoming but worth it if you don’t mind walking. So much history! The grounds are beautifully kept and inviting areas throughout the grounds. We would love to come back and wish we had a longer stay!
-
The location could not have been better. The room is in the center of Williamsburg next to the outdoor market. You park behind the inn, which we did and then we never used our car during the stay. It was very hot when we were there so being able to stop in the room and cool down was great. It is a full size bed which was not a problem but good to be aware.
-
This was the perfect location. We were right in the middle of the colonial area. So clean and just can’t put into words how great this experience was for us. Wonderful!!!
-
The room and location were excellent! Nothing

I loved the location. It was fantastic. The ants in the bed that bit me, the fact that the tub would not fill up, the fact we had to find toilet paper and the fact we requested a fan but never received it and lastly the fact my husband who is a disabled veteran did not get the request of a lower floor due to the steps it was disappointing.
-
Being able to walk out of Tavern right into Historic Williamsburg. Parking was limited/tight for Tavern, not idea for larger vehicles.

The rooms available in colonial houses differ greatly. They originally assigned us a room on the second floor, which was not possible for us. Additionally, it was extremely hard to haul all of our luggage to the room. We then asked for a ground floor room and they were very accommodating, and the room was considerably better, although the ice machine didn’t work.
