1950s motel with rooms with carpet, wallpaper, and drapes from the 70s, maybe. Ancient wall AC, rather loud. Absolutely nothing is upgraded. Cheap, but that's the only good thing.

Rodeway Inn Williamsburg truly is a Historic Site in a historic area. I remember staying there as a child, and I am now in my seventies. Built in the 1930s or 1940s I suspect, it expectedly shows some wear. The woodwork in the rooms is original so a little beat up. But the old carpet was clean and the bathroom had been rehabbed. The old original pool is pristine. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked fine. I am a historic preservationist. I highly recommend them! Consider painting the old slanted screen doors.

Its a great place even if a little dated. We have stayed here before and liked it enough to stay again. There were a few things that were not the greatest like my son found a cough drop wrapped in the cover of his bed and the dresser had a huge hole in the second drawer. The room didn't have a screen door like the other rooms did so I was a little disappointed about that, it was one of my wife's favorite things about the place. Only had 2 towels for 4 people but they had no issues giving me more when I asked. Their pool is great and open late so you can swim in the lights under the stars. Every room has a bench right outside so you can sit and enjoy the morning or evening whatever. The ice machine didn't have much ice when I used but it wasn't a big deal. The breakfast spot nextdoor is the best in Williamsburg so being in walking distance is awesome. It is such a reasonable price, centrally located and a chill place to stay we will definitely be back.

Great value in a VERY convenient location for William and Mary, or Colonial Williamsburg. Not new, not fancy. Cheap, clean and comfortable. Things showed their age, but worked. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice and had a good amount of fluff (but not too bulky). The towels were not great, but there was plenty of hot water and they even provide complimentary soap. It is all on one level and parking is immediately outside the door. Pool is decent. No breakfast.

Very quiet and laid back .very clean pool. Great value for the money and great location . The water did run out of the tub fast enough.

It's very close to Colonial Williamsburg, the area seems very safe, the room was large with the little porch area & a bench to sit on. We stayed four nights, they don't offer room service you set your trash outside ,they come and get it , you take your wet towels to the office, which I don't mind at all, what I do mind is the gentleman working there is so unprofessional .

On the plus side, the motel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk of Colonial Williamsburg (if you don't mind crossing one tricky intersection). The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and gracious, and the room was functional. There was parking at the room door. On the minus side, the room was not clean. There was visible unwashed semen on the bedspread (so glaring that my normally easygoing partner couldn't stand to have it on the bed - so the room was pretty cold!). The carpet was dirty, and when looking for an earring I discovered a large syringe behind the bed. Since the room was so dirty, we lost our appetite to try the pool - no great loss, since it was in a parking lot overlooked by a busy intersection. Several signs in the lobby announced that breakfast was no longer available as of January 2026. Several rooms are apparently rented out as transitional housing apartments: we learned this when we sat in a glider near our room door, and a motel employee came over to shout at us, with no greeting or apology, "You can't be sitting there! That belongs to this apartment!" It's cheap and functional lodging, but consider bringing your own blankets.

Nice day staff! Clean basic room!! Pool nice. Very old hotel but clean bed, close to where you want to visit but could not sit on sofa and lots of stains on carpet
-
awful dated room with dirty curtains, holes in curtain. evening desk help abrupt and unfriendly.

The beds was to hard Not to clean in the bathroom

Check-in was super easy and quick. Disappointed about the elimination of the breakfast, but there were restaurants close by. Perhaps the motel could partner with pancake restaurant next door with coupon.

Nothing We had bed bugs in our room & management never refunded the stay or did anything about it

Convient location to Colonial Williamsburg. Morning front desk clerk was was friendly, answered questions kindly & helpful. 1st room assigned smelled & heavy mold on shower walls & floor. We reported immediately & were assigned another room, better but bathroom still not clean. When brought next day, afternoon desk clerk said it's an old motel. When I said that's no excuse for bathrooms not being kept clean. He gave no ther response after this. 3rd day of 4 there, this same front desk clerk again gave a rude comment when getting towels replaced, saying, we'retrying to save water. He realized what he said & commented it was meant as a joke.

AC worked well, parking was easy.

Room was fairly clean, no complaints. Saw no evidence of bug activity I saw other guests mention. Towels were small and thin and some were stained but they were clean. Rooms are pictured with a couch, but neither of my 2 rooms had a couch. Was disappointed because this was why I booked this over other hotels. There is no housekeeping with your stay, at least not with 3 night stays. So you have to go trade your towels out and honestly? The one front desk agent is just a hassle to ask for anything. He makes everything into a strange conversation and likes to constantly like to tell you he’s charging an exorbitant amount for everything he does for you. (It’s a joke, but the joke gets old quickly.) My husband was unwell and ended up sleeping a lot on the trip. One night he woke up pretty late and was hungry since he had not been with us and eaten yet so he went out to Wawa and got a bite. He was sitting in the car eating it so he didn’t disturb us, and he came up to the car asking my husband a bunch of questions and acting strangely. He was honestly a bit disconcerting. The other desk agent we dealt with was great though. But other than that our stay was ok, a decent place to sleep for a few nights and close to all the activities we came for. It also had a pretty nice clean pool that we enjoyed.

Clean but bathroom was small

The staff was very friendly. The rooms are dated and could use some updating. Dirt was evident on the interior door and bathroom counters and other surfaces showed their age. Linens were clean. Overall, I'd stay here again. Especially for the price. Quality is on par with what you'd expect at this relative price point.
