Great hotel only complaint the person who was supposed to be putting stuff out for the breakfast wasn’t doing their job because we came to have breakfast and there was very little there and it was supposed to be open for another hour and a half

Hugh rooms with sofa, 2 leather wing back chairs, and exlarge coffee table. Closet area included a dressing area with a separate sink & vanity and large dresser. Balcony was at least three times larger than a usual hotel balcony with 4 chairs. My room overlooked a lush garden and pond with a lovely and large fountain. Extra wide halls. Parking immediately beside hotel rooms. Definitely stay again.

The maintenance staff (Chris) was very helpful and kind. The cleaning staff was thoughtful and professional.
-
The hotel room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Everyone on staff was friendly, kind and helpful. The hotel was a 5 minute walk to Colonial Williamsburg. I highly recommend the hotel.
-
The Colonial Williamsburg property is beautiful, and we really enjoyed our stay.
-
It’s just unfortunate because we were looking forward to staying here and since we have to pay an extra fee for dogs, I would rather have spent my money elsewhere.
-
Super clean, stayed in the Griffin which is a little older looking but well maintained. Able to walk (about a half mile) from all things downtown. Short drive down 60 to Busch Gardens. Staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds.
-
Stayed at the Griffin, no elevator to the 2nd floor and was not informed of this by the check in staff. I’m spry enough to muscle my bags up the stairs, but this could be a problem for older guests. No room service for that building either, but short walk to anything you need. Might be less enthused to walk about in the winter time, however. Overall we loved the property and would absolutely stay again. The room was beautiful. The restaurant was great.

I messaged via the Expedia inbox/chat feature to try and get an explanation, but got no response. Terrible experience.
-
The hotel was very clean. The staff was helpful! I love the location!
-
Location, location, location with an amazing view of the pond. Loved interacting with the horses.
-
Very run down and outdated room
-
This place is very close to the historic area. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The room was clean, but the whole place very dated.
-
Hotel is run down looking. Need some renovations!
-
Travel friendly environment.
-
We appreciated having access to the amenities of the hotel with a more reasonable cost for us.
-
are cooled only by window units, so the rooms were not very cool. We were there for only an evening, so we tolerated it. We did eat at the Williamsburg Inn and that was a good atmosphere. We wanted to stay in an historic place, but would not consider the Griffin again.
-
Great location to walk to Colonial Williamsburg, spacious clean rooms. Didn’t like checking in at the Inn then driving over to the hotel. The check in staff and Concierge was rude but other than them it was a great stay.
-
Couldn't figure out where to check in initially because it was dark and the signage was not great. Everything else was very nice. It is an older hotel so the fixtures are a little older but overall very nice. Oh yeah, no elevators.

So so so old.
