Dated property. You can see what it use to be. Bed was comfortable

I’m shocked they actually rent these rooms out. It’s horrible. Furniture is broken, smells moldy, the shower doesn’t drain, room hasn’t been dusted since 1972, etc. I could go on and on. By FAR the worst hotel I’ve ever seen.

Very pleasurable stay at the Griffen. Arrived around 12 noon and was able to check in immediately. Room was clean and facilities were in good working order. Needed a ground level room due to age which was provided.

It would be very helpful to know ahead of time that there was no elevator at this hotel. The room was very spacious and we loved the large balcony. However, everything just looked very run-down and need of updating. The couch in the room was old and stained and we really didn’t even want to sit on it. It was very disappointing and we would not stay here again.

The property was very close the walking areas of colonial Williamsburg. Decor was a bit dated and Wi-Fi was poor and unsecured. Very slow when it worked. Room was a nice size but it was down a flight of stairs and there were no elevators.

Location was good and lots to go do around that area. No microwave in room and when to asked to use a microwave for a one time use of 2mins to warm up dinner leftovers, they told me they would bring a microwave but it’s a $30 charge to the room. For the price of the room, there should be a microwave at the very least. Rooms are old and dinghy. Sleeper sofa had old sheets already on bed as if it was over looked. Sleeper sofa is caving in in the middle and rips in the take off cushions. Sheets on bed had some type of grey stains that looked like it could have been old blood stains. The fridge had moldy dirty water draining from underneath it and it was slimy. Dusty, and leftover plastic wear trash on floor , bugs in room dried up. Cigarette burn or what looks like a burn on carpet. Only fancy thing in that room was the $7 water bottles they offered near the coffee pot. Definitely will not be back!

The lack of an elevator should have been emblazoned all over this listing. My disabled husband had to climb 2 flights of stairs- with me hauling our luggage, as there were also no luggage carts. The front desk is .3 miles away, and nobody is present on this property to be of any help. And in the morning all 3 phones in our room were dead, so forget contacting the front desk. On the bright side, the room was a lovely size. And they did offer to change us to a ground floor room, but we were tuckered out from moving in, so declined.

great stay. close to William and mary and even closer to colonial williamsburg.

No elevator, so plan to carry bags if upstairs.

Worked well for our purposes. A bit dated and minimal amenities. Close to everything.

We had a wonderful stay at the Griffin Hotel. The staff was amazing, as was the restaurant across the way at the Williamsburg Inn.

Super location - walkable to CW market square, but a nice quiet and picturesque spot next to the Williamsburg Inn. Super helpful, friendly staff and generous sized rooms with lovely amenities

Loved the trails on the property the horses the pools we will be coming back again

Great stay, close to CW and WM campys. little older hotel but nicely run. Rooms are large.
