Great location to walk to Colonial Williamsburg, spacious clean rooms. Didn’t like checking in at the Inn then driving over to the hotel. The check in staff and Concierge was rude but other than them it was a great stay.
-
Couldn't figure out where to check in initially because it was dark and the signage was not great. Everything else was very nice. It is an older hotel so the fixtures are a little older but overall very nice. Oh yeah, no elevators.

So so so old.
-
See you soon
-
Spacious room within walking distance of historical sites and taverns.
-
Amazing stay and beautiful property!! I was there for a family wedding and enjoyed the food and all of the amenities.
-
The rooms were generous in size but the furnishing were thrift store old and dingy. This place needs a full renovation and remodeling!
-
This property was a unique combination of old and new. The location in "old" Williamsburg helped us to feel like we were back in time. The property itself had great bones and was as clean as daily housekeeping could keep it. The rooms are tired however, needing carpets cleaned, furniture changed and repaired and fresh paint on the inside. Loved the vintage feel, just fine to freshen it up. The AC was great, deck and views were beautiful and the beds comfortable. Easy access because we were on the main floor and the check in process at the Williamsburg Inn was refined and made me feel very welcome!
-
Large room with great view from balcony.
-
The reality, however, is that the tradeoffs are 100% worth it. The cost is half that of the Lodge and half to 1/4 of the cost of the Inn. You can still use the pool, spa, tennis courts, fitness facilities, concierge, ticket discounts, and everything else that comes with a stay at the fancier neighboring hotels. I would recommend the Griffin. No notes.

Loved the rooms. Staff exceptional. The only thing is that they forget to tell us that we had to make reservations for breakfast but it all worked out. Would stay here again
-
Very large room; very clean; nice bath products; fireplace which is incredible! TV should be on a swivel to accommodate the position of the bed; limited channels; warm old wool blankets which we needed due to a rainy chill-but they were full of moth holes!
-
Everything was great. The rooms are telling their age. Could use new carpet, woodwork needs painted, and I killed at least a dozen bugs in the bathtub.
-
Convenient to William and Mary. Clean room.
-
I bought a room for my wife and son. when they checked in the hotel wouldn't give them a room without first talking to me on the phone... 1. I didn't like this, the room was paid for. 2. how does the hotel know who was on the phone? if it was a fraud, how would they know. seems pretty dumb to me. no problem, we will not be going back.
-
Griffin itself was very clean and comfortable and quiet. Excellent lower price option on property. Checking in at the main inn seemed confusing and staff appeared to be new and in training. Breakfast at the Lodge made us feel unwelcome. hostess never smiled and seemed put out that we were even trying to ask for a table.
-
Wonderful location and property great for walks, runs, golf and of course right in the heart of colonial Williamsburg
-
Beautiful hotel and setting. Room was spacious with balcony view of the two ponds out back. Very relaxing. Check-in somewhat complicated, but staff was very helpful. Price was quite reasonable for a resort of this quality. We would definitely return!

Everything was great. If you are expecting more modern amenities, you'll have standard wifi. Very nice being on the Colonial park ans surrounding area.

Excellent stay.
