It was so dirty you couldn't see the bottom of the pool even the 3 foot end

The breakfast was good the first few days when a lot of people were staying there, but the last day, there were no bananas, sweet rolls or yogurt. They need to give more options for breakfast.

The smell inside the room was nauseating. Inside, there was no ice bucket, no coffee maker with which to make the provided coffee, no batteries in the tv remote, a smoke alarm that would not stop alarming(and no one came to check on-thankfully no fire). One working ice machine which is on the 3rd floor. Wasn't able to check out the pool, I was told it was closing when I checked in, an hour before the posted pool hours indicated it would close. I came there after being displaced from my residence due to fire, all I wanted was a clean comfortable room, and a dip in the pool would have done wonders. Nothing but one headache after another. Definitely an inhospitable place to be.

The pool closed early so we weren’t able to access it and the rooms weren’t that clean

Breakfast was disappointing. On several of occasions the was very little stocked on a very limited offering (cereal, cold boiled eggs, fruit. bagels , toast, muffin) had to ask on several occasions to have restocked and the staff seemed very reluctant and that we were an inconvenience. Front desk staff were very helpful and opened up the dining area for us to watch the world cup one evening while we ate takeout. No refrigerator on the room, only one ice machine in the building works. Only one elevator working and the other did not have maintenance record posted. The staff arbitrary closed the pool at 9pm even though we were told it should close at 10pm.

The staff were amazing, very helpful and welcoming. It was over 100 degrees for the 4th weekend and our first room didn’t have a working ac, the switched us to a new room in the same floor. The outside property and the main floor are very clean, the rest of the building is a bit outdated The beds in the room were very comfortable and the hot water was actually hot. For the price and being conveniently located to Colonial Williamsburg would stay again.

The place is dated obviously and we knew the type of hotel we were going to get. The staff is very nice, the outside pool is very kept up with and the room was clean. Good stay for the price and would stay here again. Great if you will be out and about most of your trip!

The shower was disgusting, the sheets were dirty, the room smelled a little moldy, but the best part of all was the 120 degree hallway that you had to walk down from the elevator to your room. Not too bad I guess, after you walk past the overflowing bucket from water leaking out of the hallway ceiling, and a fan attempting to dry the carpet that is going to stay wet since the bucket was full and overflowing… Get to the room and no fridge or microwave(what hotel doesn’t have a fridge or microwave in their rooms these days), no biggie, we can manage, but the AC is turned on when we get there, and set at its highest setting, and it’s still 80 degrees in the room all day and night, both days. Staff says there’s no other rooms and no way to fix it, but with everything else I saw, I wouldn’t be surprised if my disaster room wasn’t one of the better ones they had. I even had to wait and argue with night staff the first night because there was no ice bucket in my room, and the lady wanted to see my ID, and ask me what happened to the one that was in the room, RIGHT after I told her there wasn’t one. Really acted like I didn’t deserve an ice bucket when there’s no fridge, and a crapped out AC… If it wasn’t late and I wasn’t tired, I wouldn’t have packed up and looked elsewhere, unfortunately I did not pay extra for the cancellation policy. I learned my lesson, anyone else thinking of staying here should buy it!!!

The room was completely disgusting. Nothing was clean made my skin crawl. The AC just moved air it didn't work. The carpet smelled horrible. I didn't want to touch anything. Most of the staff didn't even speak English. Like visiting a third world country. The breakfast was down right scary. My favorite part was I went to dry my face on a supposedly clean towel and I rubbed someone else's hair in my face. Room was completely run down show head didn't work. I always travel Marriott and I'm willing to pay more so it will be clean. Totally rethinking that.

This hotel is not expensive, so I wasn’t expecting great, but I was a little disappointed nonetheless. The room we stayed in smelled very strongly of must and stale air. The continental breakfast was a very basic affair. If the room hadn’t smelled so bad every time we walked into it, I would have given this hotel a better review.

There was no spirit of hospitality from the staff at all. The spaces were generally clean but worn.

Monique was very professional and helpful. The property is under renovation, but the staff manages to offer great effort to satisfy the guests. Room was clean and confortable.

Slow, elevators didn’t work, carpeted floor damp, weird smell, only one ice machine for all the floors worked and always empty, coffee machine in room didn’t work. 2 stars is a gift.
