Econo Lodge Williamsburg Historic Area

Parking was easy, staff were kind, room was not cleaned thoroughly (food on the floor, smudges on mirror, stains on bedspread, stray hair on bath towel). While the owners are clearly trying to upgrade the place (new marble countertops/shower walls, new carpeting) there was much left to be desired as mid-range hotel rooms go.

A nice stay for the price. The pool is small but clean and a great amenity to have during our stay. Clean rooms, but hot water was inconsistent in the shower. Overall a good stay. We would stay here again.

They canceled my reservstion due to renovations

Enjoyed my stay and the place was quiet. Clean room and friendly staff.

Avoid at all cost. We ended up staying the night elsewhere, after the first night, because of how disgusting the room was.

The location was great. The room itself was dirty and old. A little refurbishing would help a lot.

I should have known when I walked into the office and was hit with the eye-watering odor of garlic, I would be in for a real treat. For starters, our room keys were placed in a paper card holder that appeared to have been in several different sweaty pockets. Upon entering our room, the must and mold smell rushed through the door like a tidal wave…it smelled like a wet dungeon. The bed linens were filthy with large stains and blood splattered on the sheets. The coverlet was covered in cigarette burns, and the pillow had makeup all over it. I got the feeling housekeeping just pulled the blanket up and didn’t feel the need to completely turn the room over after what must have been the previous hourly tenant. It was pure uninhabitable filth. I was promised a full refund when I told the manager we couldn’t stay there. This place needs to be shut down. Absolutely the most disgusting hotel I have ever been in.

The bed and pillows were nice. The floors needed mopping. The TV remote didn't work well the room needed better lighting.. Needed updates overall

Clean and spacious but desperately in need of renovation. NO breakfast Although it is listed on the info card in the room and breakfast room pictures are n the website.

Beds had trash under them. Mold everywhere, stains on the bed sheets.

Room was a bit small, but all we did was sleep there so it was fine. Mattress were a bit old.

Very convenient location for visiting Williamsburg.
