Crowne Plaza Boston - Woburn by IHG

Location, Restaurant, Rooms, not a single issue.

While the staff were all nice, the service was probably the worst I’ve had from a Crowne Plaza. My room key consistently did not work and I had to go to the desk several times in a row to get a replacement only to have it not work. It took too long for the hotel to send a maintenance person to check the lock. After they did finally, it turned out the lock needed new batteries. Also, the maintenance person entered my room (opened the door) without knocking first. Second, no one answered the phone when I called the front desk or hotel service from my room. Third, my room was only serviced 2 times during my stay and during the 2nd one they did not replace the toilet paper which led me to have to go again to the front desk to request some (since they didn’t answer the phone). The room itself was fine but needs updating. So overall, the facility is fine (not great but clean and serviceable) but the service needs to be improved.

Our room did not have a garbage can in the bathroom, no lamp on the desk, no hairdryer, and no microwave. It advertised a walk in shower for handicapped but they said they had no such room.

I have to say that the reception desk staff were amazing, so helpful and totally went out of their way to assist us. Mai was absolutely fantastic and helped us out throughout our stay a special person. Meghan was also very helpful. The others were courteous and friendly.

We had a great experience and would stay here again.

Property was going through repairs. Lobby person seemed a little too engaged with staff members discussing the next days work schedule while we waited to be checked in. When she finally got around to checked us in, she assigned our room on the 3rd floor and directed us to park in back. She neglected to tell us that the back elevator was out, forcing us to have to lug all our luggage up two flights of stairs. There is another elevator near the lobby that we could have used but she didn’t seem interested in providing anything but minimal effort. We’ve been here many times before but this visit will result in second thoughts if there is a next time.

Most everything was fine. Room was clean and spacious. Lobby was great. Restaurant was good with surprisingly good food. The young lady at the front desk from Cape Verde was amazing and made me feel totally welcome and appreciated. I didn't get her name, but she was great!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay close to everything.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Overall good but a few things not great; coffee packets (sugar, creamer, stir stick) were both previously opened. Tissue box in bathroom had stains on it. Air conditioner worked well but the top fan grid rattled loudly all night.
