We had a great time!

Looks rough on the outside, but the staff were really nice, room was super clean, everything worked (rare these days), bed and pillows were good, and the pool was really nice! 5 minute walk to everything downtown. The owners clearly care about a good experience for their guests. My only suggestion: get a room on the back side - traffic noise can be a little annoying until 11 pm or so.

A rather dated motel thats been slightly upgraded, mostly for guests privacy it seems as its located right uptown and the homelessness issues Asheville has, wandering zombies are a problem. The property has seemed to secure it from its earlier days. Pool was ok, but the handrail was wobbly and step down was slippery. Rooms are throwback from yore but were clean. For my stay the bed was too hard and pillows were awful. The continental breakfast was sparse unless you're a waffle and bagel fan. Location was in the middle of it for downtown access. All in all for the price (it was the 4th) it was a little on the heavy side but if you want good location and decent dip in the pool then maybe that justifies the $.

The room was clean. The ac unit was easy to adjust with the wall thermostat. Altho slitely older, everything worked fine. Plenty of space in the roomy pkg lot. Staff were very accommodating letting us keep the car parked in their lot until afternoon after checking out. Did not try comp breakfast. Convenient to downtown. Have stayed there b4 & will again.

The property was close to where I was traveling to. Though it was not a dealbreaker, the parking was tight. I appreciate the fact that there was overflow parking.

The best reason to book this hotel is the cost and location to Patton Ave. where you are near dinning, bars, shopping, and not far from the breweries. Plus, the continental breakfast timeframe of 6A-11:30A, you can’t beat! You can sleep-in and still fill your belly before your daily adventures.

Walking proximity to restaurants and bars Continental breakfast could’ve been better

It was just okay. Nothing special. The best reason to choose this place is if you want to be downtown to go out in the evening and walk around, eat out, etc. We didn’t do that, we just stayed in so we really didn’t take advantage of it. We were told when we checked in that if there are more rooms than parking spots, so we would not be guaranteed a spot if we left and tried to return. That’s something to consider.

Rooms were nice and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

pet friendly and courtious front desk

It was located in a very unsafe section of town and very loud hotel. Traffic could be heard throughout the night and many police sirens. I will not stay here again. Big mistake. I was very concerned about my cars safety. There is not enough parking so I had to park away from the hotel. Many homeless people in the area.

Location and value are perfect

Cleaninginess and location were great. Also good value for money in the city when we knew we'd just be sleeping there Shower was.a.bit clogged but very manageable

Our stay was as expected. Clean rooms and friendly people in a great location.

This place is definitely dated. Its in a bad spot due to incompetent motorcyclists showing off their bikes between midnight and three AM. So bring ear plugs. That said, the place is clean, rooms are clean and stain free. Beds are good, showers hot and waffles tastey. If you are looking for a budget and a place to sleep, this is it. Its within walking distance to a good portion of “downtown.” Make sure you get there early enough to get a parking spot.

The location and walkability of the area was great. You can find a bunch of spots to enjoy. The hotel itself is an older building and doesn't seem well kept. I don't think it's due to the staff slacking or anything, but it seems more like the owners are doing a very "landlord special" type of situation. The vent in the bathroom was somewhat detached from the ceiling and there was what visibly looked like mold surrounding it that had been there for years. We only spent one night so it was doable, but if I wouldn't return unless there were no other options in the area.

Breakfast was good and served in a clean quiet dining room. No loud TV on the wall blaring bad news. Room on Patton Avenue side, loud noise from motorcycles stopping and revving at traffic light. Continued until 2 am on Fri and Sat night, making sleep almost impossible.
