Everything Nothing

Elevator was broken, walls dinge, smells in the halls, staff closed the front checking windows never opened in the morning. Side doors to the hotel where never locked shut. The sensors never worked. Main door inside was hard to enter.

There is no breakfast, no coffee and my room was not even close to ready. I thought I was on the janitorial room. I was not happy with the service. Low in staff or employees

All staff very friendly

With that, the hall doors to the stairs could have been left open so air from the halls could cool them; they were very uncomfortable. The stairways had trash, stained carpet and bags of trash left at the bottom by the exit door. A full trash bag(s) was left open on the curb, garbage spilling out. The room wasn't what I expected from the photos and nothing I would have used for extended stays. It was cramped with old furniture including a recliner that reclined but wouldn't retract(?), broken dresser drawer, no useful items anywhere; not even plastic cups in the bathroom or cabinets to drink water with. The desk chair was the nicest most-modern looking feature in the place. Outside was OK but one picnic table was rotted and the pool water was filthy. Dog owners were not very responsible and no one bothered to check that. I know there was at least one maintenance person present as I saw a cleaning cart move in and out of the stairwell. Poor choice of materials when doing the bathroom - the 'stone' counter on the vanity looked as if it had blood spilled/stained. I scrubbed but it was clearly (a weird) part of the counter. Bugs were noticed in the bathtub drain and the tub surround. The toilet seat was very loose. The lady at the front desk was pleasant. When shuttered at night the lobby could have been an entrance to a jail.

What I didn't like was having to take out my own trash but hey we can't have it all and that wasn't exactly part of what I paid for. Am I right?

I recently stayed at the Extended Stay of America, Metro I had a truly exceptional experience, all thanks to the manager, Elizabeth. She is an incredible person who goes far beyond the call of duty to ensure her guests are comfortable and well-cared for. During my stay, I ran into a difficult situation, and Elizabeth was absolutely wonderful. She was sincere, incredibly helpful, and went out of her way to look out for my safety and shield me from some unpleasant people. It is rare to encounter a manager who is so genuinely kind and protective of her guests. I felt safe and supported the entire time, and I cannot thank her enough. If you are looking for a place where you will be treated with true kindness and professionalism, this is the place to stay. And also let me not forget the staff is also awesome. I haven’t met that one person at that front desk that did not greet me with a smile and make sure that I was taken care of on every aspect.

The elevator did not work for the last 4 days of my stay, and my key card lost its program at least twice a day. The stairwell had broken eggs for 3 days and was only cleaned after I complained. The manager told me she only has one housekeeper for the entire 4-floor property. People loiter in the parking lot at all hours; there is no security guard, and the front desk is closed at night.
