Charles River Inn

This motel is easy to get to and has plenty of parking on the premises. Unheard of for Boston! The room had plenty of space and was clean. It had a mini fridge which was helpful for us. We were hoping to have more tv choices. There were only a handful of local cable channels. Breakfast is not offered altho there was a space for it in the lobby. But there is a restaurant next door.

This room smelled like a #1 from whataburger with extra onions…

Air dryer anf iron in my room not working. Drinking water machine in the pantry also not working. Wifi is slow.

There was plenty of parking and this is conveniently near IHOP and McDonald's. The rooms were comfortable enough. Property was clean enough. Just basic, no bells & whistles. There's no elevator, which I think is clear in the booking and the front desk reiterates...just be aware. There's a smell of the main areas/lot that is just not fresh, per se. Not overly disturbing, but just stood out to me as a downside. Front desk wasn't rude, but perfunctory rather than friendly. So, all in all, good/average stay. We'd stay here again for a short trip.

Nice older hotel. Rooms are very big and comfortable. Restaurants close by. Staff are friendly. Beds were comfortable. Good value for the money. Would recommend for a short stay.

Friendly staff, very welcoming. The guest room was clean and comfortable. The shower pressure was fantastic. 24 hour coffee is nice. The property is located a little farther from Fenway and downtown then expected without T-train or bus access nearby, so be ready to uber...

The room was very dated and poor workmanship with the maintenance of the rooms. It served our needs for a place to lay head every night though

Very scary. But it was the only available room in Boston when our flight cancelled.

Five minute drive from the Arsenal Mall, which was super convenient for dinner, and across the street from a very popular walking/biking trail along the river. I would consider staying there again.

This is not a bad review but a general observation meant to inform, the price is significantly lower than other locations and it should be expected there would be some areas that need updating based in the price alone. Would I stay there again, if pricing was the only consideration I can say yes if not then I would stay elsewhere.

Upon arrival our room smelled horrible and was about 90 degrees. Our door wouldn't shut unless we body slammed it, the AC unit kept shutting off in the middle of the night, the TV was fuzzy and blurred, the fridge didn't keep any of our food cold throughout the night from our dinner to go's.

The entire hotel seems rundown. We had no choice as other hotels were booked but I would have stayed somewhere else if I could.

Housekeeping needs to do a better job cleaning. Bathroom floor was dirty and mat was tucked in corner and looked to be from previous occupants. It’s an older motel and the rooms appeared to get a quick facelift.

Was clean and quiet with working ( if a bit loud) AC during heat wave. Disappointed no access to mass transit. Suggest cleaning up exterior, arriving there is doubt inducing, but interior was fine.

It's an OK motel for the price near Boston. The TV has basic antenna reception. The bathroom sink was clogged. There's no elevator to the second floor so if you can't do stairs ask for a first floor.

A little run down. Smelled like whatever the staff ate for dinner. Toilet was misaligned. Bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way.

Excellent place to stay and staff are super nice and helpful!
