Horrible service, disgusting smell, awful place!

The person on staff was very friendly and helpful and kind and really went above and beyond. It was nice to have off street parking and we didn’t mind paying a little extra for it. However, in the room, the toilet was dirty, the sink had little bits of hair all around the bowl, the shower grout was black and in bad shape. There also wasn’t any soap to wash hands in either the bathroom or the tiny kitchen. We were told it was coming, but it never did. There were also cigarette burns on the blankets. I understand this is an expensive area for hotels, but at $200 per night, I would never have expected what we got.

Nice residential street, friendly helpful staff, good value, they upgraded our room, lots of places to eat and easy walk to the T down Harvard St

Good AC, shared bathrooms, helpful staff. They definitely need to add fans to all of the bathrooms as that could cause mold problems later. Parking was great for an additional $10-20/day (I can’t recall)

Stay away from my his place . Bugs in the rooms bathroom falling apart and rats on the property. It was so bad we didn’t stay there. Bed bugs and other bugs , the Ac unit was connect to a power outlet that would turn off . So don’t stay there . I would like a refund since it was so bad. I would not recommend it.

One of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Feels like they never spent even a dollar in maintenance or renovation. That place is falling apart. Shared bathrooms! The only positive thing is their staff, very friendly.

The staff was exceptional especially Lewis. The bed was comfortable and the shared bathroom was very clean.would definitely recommend for anyone needing an affordable place to stay in Boston.

The location was perfect as we were attending commencement ceremonies at BU. The staff was very nice. Everything else. The room was not clean (I'm fairly sure there were bedbugs), the carpet was old and brown and I couldn't bring myself to step on it in bare feet. I was uncomfortable fully undressing in the room as it seemed like the kind of place that might have peepholes or hidden cameras. The shared bathroom was very clean, but old with lots of broken tiles and calcified fixtures. Unfortunately, it also cost almost $200/night at the height of the graduation season.

I was going to walk to the New Balance Track, and asked the front desk man for directions. Rather than give me directions, he walked with me the mile to the track and pointed out good Korean restaurants and breakfast places along the walk. He was superbly kind and helpful (as I’m not great with directions).

Lack of clean air in the room. No enough pillows. Dirty walls and windows.

Cons: Everything else. Mattress was curved, room was boiling with no air conditioning except a fan provided, floors and walls were cracked, only thing provided was half a roll of toilet paper and a bar of soap. No coffee, shampoo etc.

The room did not feel clean or well maintained. The bedsheets looked old and had visible stains, which immediately created a poor impression. The blinds were also broken, making the room feel neglected and uncomfortable. In general, the hotel had a sketchy atmosphere that did not feel very welcoming or relaxing. The biggest issue for me was the washroom situation. Having only one shared washroom per floor was already inconvenient, but the condition of it made the experience even worse. It clearly needs renovation and much better maintenance. I personally chose not to use the washroom during my stay because it did not appear clean or comfortable enough. Cleanliness is one of the most important things in any hotel, and unfortunately this property did not meet even basic expectations in that area. It is disappointing because the reception staff were genuinely nice and professional, and they tried to provide good service. However, friendly staff alone cannot make up for the poor condition of the facilities and rooms. Overall, this hotel could improve greatly with renovations, better cleaning standards, and more attention to maintenance. At the moment, I would not choose to stay here again unless major improvements are made.

They gave me a.n upgrade after 2 nights in a horrible room Yes. When I first got there, the room they gave me was horrible!!!! ImIt was on the first floor with broken blinds so anyone can see right in. There is no place to hang clothing. The lock to the shared bathroom had been torn off!! Bed bugs!

Cons: I'm not a picky traveler, but even the basic expectations were not met. Staff was never present at the desk. Paint was peeling off the walls. Room cleanliness was poor. Mattress was uncomfortable. Shared bathrooms had no soaps/toiletries and could use more cleaning and updating.
