Clean, updated quiet hotel right off Copley Square.
-
Really good quality for the price. Excellent location. Friendly Staff. I will recommend this place to my friends for sure.
-
Great location and nice staff
-
Close to Fenway Park.

Had to call daily to make sure our room is cleaned. Manager rude and unhelpful. Only one elevator works properly so you have to wait a while to catch it. No coffee maker in room you have to use downstairs kitchen on first floor down a very dimly lit hallway in dingy room. No in room phones.

No clean dirt and mold in the bathroom, elevator is not up to date makes clashing noises and drops heavy

This was our second stay at Copley Square Hotel. It's older and quirky, but always has a really competitive price. The location is great. It's close to the Back Bay T stop, Copley Square Mall, Boylston St., and Newberry Street. It's not difficult to get anywhere from this location. My only real gripe is the coffee. There are machines in the rooms. There's a coffee machine off the lobby, but it makes weak coffee. There are plenty of coffee shops nearby, but I need a good cup in the room to start my day.

The rooms are above average in size. Unfortunately the hotel management does not follow the abc of hoteliering; basics are not in place and it leaves one with a feeling of disappointment. The staff is excellent and try their best. My first room was not fit for accommodation. Ben the receptionist did his best and had me moved to another room the next day. There is limited power points in the rooms, often not accessible. There is no charging points next to the bed. AC is noisy. There is no coffee station in the rooms. Water pressure is inconsistent to the extent that the first room hardly had any. The rooms are dark due to block out blinds that cannot be lifted. The mattress is worn out on the one side. Turns on pillow cases and the bedding comes apart while you sleep (its just sheets layer, and the duvet not placed in a cover). The bathroom extractor does not work. While many of these things would go unnoticed or overseen in isolation, there is just too many of the basics that is not managed well. It is one of the worst hotels I have stayed at, and will hardly give it 2 stars based on my 4 nights stay. The manager Edward seems to respond to all reviews, I hope he is as prompt to respond with a proper remedial plan, otherwise the old lady he is managing will not remain open for much longer.

Found hair in the tub the morning after we checked in, and the towels smelled musty and used. Called front desk, they said someone would be up immediately to take care of it. That was at 9am, room wasn’t serviced until 3. Friendly staff, great location, cool building, but would not stay there again because of the gross bathroom.

It was okay. Likely wouldn’t stay there again.
-
The room was clean. All the basic amenities were available and helpful. Our bedroom was a bit too small and there's not enough lighting. Location is great, though!
-
Great experience staying here! We were able to check-in early (around 1:45/2pm) and check-out late (12pm instead of 11am). Also this hotel is very conveniently located.
-
Great locstion, close to Boylston & Newbury Streets.
-
front desk is always so helpful and friendly! The hotel is in a perfect area to walk around.

Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed.

Despite all the poor reviews, I decided to give it a chance. I am glad I did. My room was spacious and clean. I had hot water in my shower. And my AC also worked. It wouldn't go below 70 F. But I prefer it that way. The room was quiet. And the cleaning ladies were super attentive. There is a cute restraunt/bar downstair. They serve breakfast starting at 8 am. And Lunch and dinner as well. They open their french doors. And becomes an outside patio at night. Would stay here again for sure!
-
It’s a lovely hotel close to Newbery street shopping and restaurants. Location is the best, room was clean and spacious. The hotel is on the older side, has some charm. Would stay here again.
-
Close to everything, walking distance to a lot of historical places. Uber isn’t far for other places. Great Location and staff was so friendly and helpful.

The check-in process was very easy, and the hotel was simple to navigate; it was clean and bright. It didn’t feel scary walking through by myself. The room was clean, and they kept it very tidy with every clean. Some issues: the bathroom door would get stuck if you closed it all the way. I would have to shove it open. On my last day, I came back to my hotel to it being very cold. Which wasn’t an issue usually ‘cause I can just turn the temperature up (it was on AUTO) and turn off the fan. However, the AC kept blasting for the next couple of hours. Eventually I slept through it, but by morning, the room was about 6° colder than it was before. It didn’t seem as if turned off at all. Then it might’ve just been my neighbors, but it was quite loud some days late into the night. I enjoyed my stay, and liked it being in the center of the city. Easy to get to and close to major transits. The staff were kind and helpful. Most of all, it felt safe. So, thank you for a great stay!
