Hotel Ivy Boston Common

Great location!

Mostly just love the location of this spot, it was within a couple of min walk of all the places I wanted to go. The staff were lovely. Room was as you would expect, I was on the 5th floor, had a cute view. Clean, cozy spot to rest my head. :) It's my 2nd time staying there and I will definitely stay there again.

The hotel is located in a great area so that many sightseeing tourist spots are within walking distance from less than 5 minutes-30 minutes at a leisure walk. The room assigned to us was very spacious. The one thing I would say is to have a nonslip mat inside the shower floor or be available because once it was wet, it was slippery. The staff were a great help at check- in and-out as leaving our luggage since we arrived early and leaving late. Overall, enjoyed the stay and wouldn’t mind returning there in the future.

I loved it here because they accommodated us so fast during the nor’easter when our flights got canceled to go home to the west coast. I am so appreciative of the front desk!

Location. Not very clean, not cosy.

Location It’s just not a good hotel. Most of the staff was totally indifferent to helping answer basic questions. Elevator was super dirty, and room bathroom light was on 24/7. I mentioned to three separate staff the bathroom light was on and no one wanted to fix it. The room was terrible. No clothes hanging anywhere. Lights were 5 separate lamp switches tp turn on or off. Overall not worth anywhere near 500 per night, rip off.

Unless you literally just need a clean bed, this is not the hotel for you.

Great location in downtown Boston, walkable to Boston Common and many key locations. Easy access to Seaport too and the airport is about 15 min. away. Staff was pretty responsive and helped me turn off the AC in my room which was making noise at night. The single rooms were extremely small and not very comfortable. The property itself is old, it's noisy, and the AC was loud in the middle of the night. The booking process was also confusing - it was actually cheaper to book thru booking.com than directly with the hotel. Some rooms were cleaner than others. Honestly if you travel for work and want any space to be able to do your own work in the room, get a queen room or bigger.

The Ivy is my go-to for busy stays in Boston, as even though the rooms are small, the hotel is simple, stylish, unpretentious, good value for money, and in a really great location. The rooms are tiny, and were not serviced on day 2 (both times I stayed there). I didn’t see anything that said that cleaning would be extra.

I was comfortable No glass or water in the room.
