Excellent 1001 reviews

Breakfast was delicious. Staff excellent. Clean and updated. Location was perfect for all the venues that we wanted to see. This hotel would be perfect if you could sound proof it. The score is lower from me, strictly due to the loudness and noise of the street down below. I had read other reviews about this noise and asked for a higher floor room , which we received. Again, staff was excellent and I was grateful. But when it came to sleeping, the car noise, horns, police sirens and revved engines from the street below was too much. Even the AC blasting could not drown out the noise below. A shame really, because the location was perfect. But I need it to be more quiet.

The staff was great. Unfortunately this hotel is next to a club. All night until 4am, you'll hear cars beeping and people outside being loud. It was horrible. I live in the city so I'm used to noisy environments but this was far worse. My guest and I checked out hours earlier than planned due to this. We were annoyed from lack of sleep and had a long drive ahead. No good city views either from the rooms. No indoor pool. Wouldn't stay here again.

This was a good location in the centre of town, near Newbury Street and Boston Common. We have stayed at a W Hotel in Barcelona and found it tired and in need of refurbishment. The W Hotel in Boston was similar but the cost was exorbitant, which I know was due to the World Cup. However, we didn't even have breakfast included for $1,000 a night and then they tried to charge us an unexpected $40 night resort fee when we checked out. The experience was price gouging at its worst. We did have breakfast a couple of times, but it was dreadful. The bar was disappointing too and the noise on a Friday and Saturday was unbearable. I don't usually complain about a hotel visit, but this was dreadfully disappointing.

Toilets stank - poor plumbing. Value for money was terrible - added $45 to your bill to give a $20 meal credit. Felt ripped off

Room was not cleaned. Just once when we requested it. Staff was not hospitable.

Just a plain hotel. The lobby, “lounge”, and restaurant area are pretty poor. The staff were great especially Jenni and Jean. Without them, rating would be lower. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is my first night it was extremely loud at the two night clubs below my room (even from the 11th floor) and I couldn’t sleep until 3am. It would have been nice to be warned about that, or for other accommodations to be offered, but when I asked the only accommodation they offered was a downgrade in rooms

Very nice comfortable room in the heart of the Theater District. We had a one-night staycation while we caught events in the area; the W was a great choice. Slightly more spacious rooms than your typical Boston closet. Street parking is the best option here. Fortunately during the day it's easy to come by. Prepare for a fight for metered spots. It's worth it.

Location , Room Service burgers The Interior design was going through a-lot! Not one unified concept in sight.

  • Engine customer May 2026

Room was fine Door staff, bar staff and breakfast reception not good verging on rude. Breakfast was poor value, had to wait, when busy they couldn’t be bothered to make cappuccinos, lobby lounge bar is just a lobby with sofas. On check out so many additional hidden charges on bill on top of an already expensive stay

The meeting rooms were spacious and airy

They made my stay seamless and provided an exceptional human touch. On Marathon Monday there was coffee gatorage, fruit and granola bars starting at 5:30 AM. THANK YOU! I grabbed these and had it to get ready in the morning, and even zome gatorade and snacks for recovery post race. What blew me away though was that when I returned to the hotel after the race there was staff lined up clapping runners in, and presented me with a frame that included my name and finishing time. They had cute Boston finisher cookies, too. WOW. WOW. WOW. THAT is exceptional customer experience. I only wished that I had recorded it- but quite frankly the gesture was so heartwarming it was bringing tears to my eyes and I didn't think of it at the time. It will go down as something I remember fondly about my marathon and the city of Boston. I hope the staff reads this and knows that that gesture meant a lot. I trained for years to get there, and the staff - and the city of Boston made me feel exceptional that day. If the hotel happens to, or any runners happen to, have any videos of this from the runners perspective walking in, I would love to get my hands on it!

The W helped make our trip to Boston a success. The location is ideal - walking distance to nice restaurants, shopping, theaters, and just minutes from Boston Common. The hotel and our room were immaculate and staff were helpful and anticipated our every need. Would absolutely stay here again.
