Hyatt Regency Boston

Walkable to South Station but nice and quiet since it’s in the downtown crossing area which is busier in the day.

I didn’t appreciate the daily $35.00 resort fee (called something else but I don’t recall now), it’s a fee for nothing really and $40.00 daily self parking fee as well. No doubt it was all in the fine print when I signed up so it is what it is. Free bowl of clam chowder for you and your guest who stay there, huge bonus for my daughter and granddaughter who love the stuff, they said it was delicious.

No microwave and fridge barely worked.

Breakfast was very good. The Propery is a bit dated. However the room was clean and comfortable.

Great trip with my son. Originally went to see the Battle of Bunker Hill parade in our stomping grounds Charlestown. Toured the town, enjoyed the parade. Hotel was close to China town. Had amazing meal at China Pearl, owner hospitality outstanding. Great Legal Seafood restaurant by theater district. Always outstanding. And the best surprise was enjoying the city with the Wild fun loving Scottish FIFA. Hotel Location great,. Close to the Commons. Orange line and green line access close by on T transportation. The Staff was amazing and we got free Clam chowder offered at the hotel. Happy 250 America and our Boston!

Excellent hotel - high quality everywhere, amazing staff (they remember you and what you like), clean, beautiful, and in a great location, walking distance to attractions - Chinatown, Faneuil Hall, Boston Common, aquarium and more. Highly recommended.

This hotel is very dated and needs some improvements done to the rooms. Example...... the bathtub is permanently stained and cracked. But the room was very clean. In fact, housekeeping comes every single day which I have found to not be the case in other hotels recently. All staff that we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. Not a bad place to stay!

I need to say that the bedding was awful. There were flat sheets instead of fitted on the bottom. The bottom sheets came undone as well as the mattress pad so when you woke up you were actually laying on the matress with everything crumpled below. While sleeping everything was crumpled. It was a battle all nite long. For the price, why skimp on something important like that?!?! All we wanted was a comfortable nights sleep.

For a luxury hotel with premium pricing, I was underwhelmed. First with the $35 “destination fee” on our prepaid hotel room. Second, not even one bottle of complimentary water unless you were Elite with Hyatt. The lobby is on the third floor and requires a separate elevator to get to street level. I’m sure this is a security measure but cumbersome with the luggage we needed for a long cruise. I would not stay here again if there were other hotels available. Not thrilled with the Hyatt brand after this stay.

Great location and very helpful staff

We had to wait till 9pm and to check in and have a clean room ready and that is because I called the front desk to check and they said yes it would be ready by 330. The staff paid for valet, however I paid for a full room starting at 4pm, and we were tired. At the very least call your customers and give them a heads up give them an option to go somewhere else or make arrangements. Waiting 5 hours is ridiculous.
