Friendly staff, clean room and great location

Great location to down town and beautiful room. The ac in our room wasn’t working correctly and it was very hot in the room to the point where we struggled to sleep. The technician told us it was working correctly and blowing cold air however it most definitely was not and we couldn’t change the settings . We called down to the front desk to ask a question and the lady was very short with us and seemed annoyed that we even called and then proceeded to hang up the phone before I was done speaking . This was on our last day and wasn’t a great way to end off our stay.

Stay was lovely and the staff were welcoming, warm, and helpful. Great location and easy walking to lots of bars, restaurants, and downtown attractions. We had two dogs with us and the staff were very welcoming to them. The rooms are cozy and the bathroom is a great size. I saw several negative reviews of this place but we had a great experience and I will definitely stay here again.

There were additional charges added unexpectedly that we were not told. Apparently, they charge you for being near TD Garden. I explained that we were there for my wife's medical appointment at Mass General Hospital. Furthermore, they weren't any events going on during our duration. There very disappointed.

Really nice hotel with excellent coffee in the room!

My husband and I stayed at the Pennyweight Hotel in Boston for a birthday trip to see a concert. I checked the website beforehand to make sure they had a restaurant bc we had limited time in the city. We sat around and waited until 5pm for the “restaurant” to open, only to be told that the ONLY thing they had to eat was a cheese platter. The poor bartender was left a mess by the previous staff, the bar was flooded with guests hoping to eat, and told this was all they had. So we waited for an hour and 1/2 for dinner when we could have gone and found food someplace else. When we checked in I asked what time the restaurant opened and the staff said 5pm, not mentioning that it wasn’t dinner. Parking was $70, the room was very expensive and they have the nerve to charge $2 for a bottle of water in the room. My husband and I were starving but ate the sad cheese plate, which had been prepared and set in a refrigerator so the chips were soggy. When we went to bed, the noise from whatever was above us was loud and clunky. What was supposed to be a birthday trip for my husband, turned out to be a wallet busting disappointment. I would have expected so much more from a hotel like this.

The location is great to get to TD Garden and to the T, and is very central to many things in downtown Boston. I would stay here again if I got it for a good deal compared to other nearby properties
-
Staff was not very friendly. Air conditioner in the room was extremely loud, and made it difficult to sleep. Lighting in the bathroom was very poor.
-
Clean room and recently renovated

This was a great location. The staff was very attentive and kind. The rooms were quaint and the beds were comfortable.
-
Great staff, amazing location. Valet parking was quick and easy. Would definitely stay there again.
-
My room was well appointed, very clean and comfortable.

We had additional charges for being close to TD Garden ($40) which were not included in the original cost of the room and valet left our car parked in the middle of traffic creating a traffic jam for the one way road it is on. We had expected better attention for the $70 overnight parking fee with valet. Without a garage available this is the only option as overnight parking on the street is not allowed. The hotel is close to some small markets but does not have much to offer in terms of snacks or beverages if you are traveling and not expecting to run right out.
-
Nice room and location except we got a room that is really loud machine noise at first place. The staff helps us change to a new room with much less noise.
-
The staff was so friendly and personable! The hotel was super close to TD Garden, where we were going! The rooms were small and expensive but very convenient! We highly recommend this hotel!
