Best Western River North Hotel

Location was good Very dated everywhere, felt a bit grubby, water was not hot in the shower after first person showered, didn't clean the room one day, an item went missing from the room.

The pool can be reached only from the main building and is not very big, but the adjacent terrace is definitely worth visiting, it's well kept and offers a very nice view of the surrounding area.

The location was close to things I wanted to see. On the day I was leaving to go to Chicago I ended up finding out that my room was cancelled. This lead to over 30 minutes of having to call the hotel, calling booking's customer service, then calling the hotel again. I was first told that the card on file was not valid, but that wasn't true because I had already been charged for my room the night before. Then she told me it was because I was underage. I told her that's also not true because I'm 36. After that she just said I had to call booking to fix it, but that I better act quick because they were almost full. I couldn't believe that she would say something like that, especially when it wasn't my fault. I checked in & I spoke with Craig who was the one who canceled the reservation on accident because he spoke with someone with a similar name as me, but she had a "thick accent". Other than the slight racism in that statement, I feel like maybe he should have confirmed more of her booking information if he wasn't sure, because clearly he messed up and canceled my reservation instead. The room iteself was extremely plain and had absolutely bare minimum amenities. No fridge, no microwave, and not even a coffee pot. Technically they have free coffee in the lobby 24/7, however I would have to go down the hall, down the elevator, across the parking lot, then into the building just for a cup of coffee. As for no microwave, they very clearly want you to pay to eat at the restaurant attached to the hotel. I already think this hotel was extremely overpriced for what you get, and you don't even get a complimentary breakfast. The specific room we were in was right next to the ice machine, which we could easily hear when people would come to get ice at 1am. I was also notified about a week before my stay that they were currently undergoing reservations for their gym, pool, and rooftop bar.

everything was good. I just wish the pool was open and small breakfast was provided. That no breakfast was provided Most hotel have it hence a competitive advantage, think about it not next year but next week.

Clean room though it shows a bit of age. Friendly staff.

Location was ideal. Hotel was basic. Coffee was good. Staff friendly. No breakfast. Small bathroom.

Unfortunately the pool, rooftop lounge, and fitness center were all closed during our stay. We did get a notice prior but I wish they had notified us earlier since it was less than a month when they sent me a message

Excellent location, near the restaurants and night activities. The Bigbus stop near the hotel to avoid long distance walking. The breakfast at the pizzeria Ora was delicious, faster and good prices. 100 % Recommended
