Ohio House Motel

The location is great, there’s parking and a deli, and the staff is super nice! It’s an old motel so there isn’t much soundproofing.

Exactly as listed. Very basic (no hairdryer etc) but clean and comfortable right in the middle of downtown. Noise level was surprisingly not a problem. Parking is not free but was convenient. Prices were not low like you would expect during our stay because of city summer/conventions but the vibe is better than the lower priced options nearby. Thumbs way up on the attached deli.

It was really a good place to stay. I gave it only 4 stars because the room was a little uncomfortably warm.

I had an awesome time staying at Ohio House Motel. I’ve driven by it for decades. It was located convenient to the events I needed to do in Chicago, both uptown, and downtown. I’m glad there was on site parking for a very nominal fee, compared to other hotels in the city.

Everything is near in the area with clean and quiet bedroom . Friendly front desk and welcoming

Clean rooms with updated bathrooms. Location was great for what we wanted to do. On site parking is great, and a good price for the City.

The location is amazing. It was clean and the check in staff was helpful and quick. You couldn’t change the temperature in the room. You had to call the front desk. The rooms were definitely on the warmer side even after calling the front desk.

Staff was really nice. Helped me with easy check-in and parking vehicle ($40 / day!). The room was fairly clean. The TV was a pain as it was asking to accept some silly LG User License Agreement and would not let me watch TV channels until I did about 50 clicks on the remote to bypass. My room did not have a thermostat as the rooms have central HVAC. My room was hot as it was 90 outside. They were able to turn the AC down a bit but the room was still warm overnight. Definitely will book elsewhere on my next trip to Chicago.

This is an older facility so dont expect the hilton, but it is very clean, located in a great spot and close to everything, and the staff is incredibly nice and extremely helpful. And the breakfast at the deli next door was fantastic. I'll stay again for sure.

The room was very clean and the location was excellent! Walkable to almost everything! We did not try the complimentary breakfast because we didn’t really know how to do it, so make sure you ask the front desk.

Great location made many popular destinations very walkable and some fantastic dining options nearby. We highly recommend heading to the nearby Peruvian restaurant for happy hour. There is a great deli on the corner and I highly recommend buying coffee there and not messing with the in room single serve. Their bagels and pastrami are great too. We will be back again.

Good location with a parking lot. Upstairs room window did not latch and lock. It had been that way long enough the window frame had mildew on it, and moldiness under the paint.
