Location was great, right across the bean, straight walk up to riverside walk. Lots of cool bars and restaurants Very busy with weddings so a number of bars were closed to the public
-
Excellent character hotel with fabulous restaurants and bars - super helpful staff - and great location.

My daughter and I truly loved every bit of the hotel. We tried to utilize all of the amenities. From the Ives, to the handroll place, to breakfast in the drawing room and the fun in the game room. We even shot some hoops on the Stagg court. If there had been a swimming pool, we definitely would’ve used it as well. I have never fully used a hotel quite like we did this one with eating in just about every spot. Had drinks at Cindy’s on the rooftop two nights in a row. I do enjoy an old hotel and know that it has a lot of character did not mind the elevator at all being a little slow. The only thing I could possibly think to improve upon would be a really good dusting of everything. The room was clean, but sometimes I felt like there was a lot of dust in some of the high reaching places in the main lobby. Our shower had fabulous pressure and all the products were great. I will definitely recommend this to anybody going to Chicago and I will stay here again. Even though I’d like to stay at different hotels every time I come into a city. Also great location right across from the park. I was able to catch a free symphony concert while we were there as well. The valet staff were super nice as was the rest of the hotel staff! I would give it five out of five stars! And the only negative again would be I did not feel it was perhaps as clean as it could’ve been in the public areas.

Super charming with interesting history. Not sterile and torched. Not great for kids below age 8 but really fun for ages 8+.

Lovely stay celebrating my son's 13th birthday! Complimentary champagne vouchers to welcome us, and a sweet little birthday treat left in the room. Will return again!

I’m a repeat customer because I always love staying at this great hotel! Perfect location and old school vibe.

I was very disappointed in my stay; I only stayed with hopes my son would be able to enjoy the indoor basketball court; but it seems it’s always booked for some other event it’s not available. I called weeks before I booked to find out the schedule for the courts and was told a week bf arrival I would get an schedule of bookings for the court, and I decide to keep

Great clubby feel. Fun game room.

My suite Room was super sexy complete with a pommel horse at the end of the bed. The history was so rich throughout the beautiful old architectural gem! I especially loved the breakfast room , the food was awesome. The rooftop bar had amazing views and the margs were not too shabby. Great vibe!!

MY girlfriends and I did a one-night staycation and had a great time. I was a little worried the room would be too small but it was very spacious and the two double beds were actually just fine for our purposes. We went to dinner nearby and walked to Millenium Park across the street. Great location and love Cindy's rooftop for drinks.

Great place to stay-wonderful breakfast!

Our room had exterior lights outside of the windows highlighting the building facade, so we had to close the curtains to sleep instead of being able to keep the curtains open and enjoy the sunrise over the lake. The lights were incredibly bright. We were put on the 6th floor, which doesn’t give much of a view of Millenium Park (the tree line in front of us is all we saw other than Cloud Gate) and certainly doesn’t put you high enough up to remove a decent amount of road noise. Every Millenium Park facing room shouldn’t carry the same price point, as they are all not all able to give the same value in selecting a room with a view. The hallway noise was unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. The hallways weren’t even busy, but every cart movement and voice could be heard from inside our room. The room size itself didn’t allow for any seating other than the bed, which also doesn’t feel like a 4-star $500+ a night hotel. The pillows were all highly stuffed and firm, making it difficult to sleep for those of us who prefer a flatter pillow. Other hotels I’ve stay of this caliber offer multiple pillow types. I can’t speak to the shower facilities; we left the hotel as soon as we got up in the morning after a restless night of sleep. For the price point, it wasn’t worth the hype.
