Exceptional

The rooms on the train side are very loud, even on higher floors. My room had an portable A/C unit, rather than central air, and it was too cold with it on but too warm with it off. The room was large and generally comfortable.

Excelente hotel, el personal muy amable. Único punto malo es que no hicieron la limpieza durante mi estancia. La posición del hotel es excelente ya que se encuentra en el mero corazón de Chicago. Muy recomendado.

Nice place, good location and spacious room

Spacious and clean

Great stay. Easy check in process. Great breakfast. The breakfast potatoes were particularly good. Easy check out. Front desk staff was wonderful!

Very clean and helpful staff

2 of 3 elevators were out of service. The only one working was the smallest one, and a lot of noises that seemed to be probably not alarming, but not reassuring. The whole front of the hotel is right against the El train and somewhat noisy. Small and silly thing, but the coffee machine in the room is a little odd, hard to figure out how to make coffee. If you're going to put a unique machine in the room, just add instructions. Overall, it's an older hotel with a certain style, which is cool. The room was nice and comfortable. Just enough oddities to mention that made me go 3 stars.

Great location and price

The hotel was well maintained, with decent amenities. It was centrally located to Millennium Park and other areas on North Michigan Ave. We will stay again.

The price was also really reasonable, especially for how close we were to all the sightseeing spots. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Anytime we are in town for the CSO or any other show we stay here. It’s perfect for the close parking as well as L access

As British travellers - miss a kettle in the room

We recently spent 4 nights at the Silversmith Hotel - Chicago Downtown. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and very helpful. Our convenience and well-being truly seemed to be their top priority. It was our first trip to Chicago and they went out of their eay to make our stay as enjoyable and efficient as possible. George's advice on using the city's mass transit system was invaluable. The Hotel's location right in the heart of town makes so many major landmarks and attractions accessible by foot. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
