Silversmith Hotel Chicago Downtown

The hotel was very clean with nice size rooms. The restaurant and bar on site was very convenient. The location is great as well, within walking distance to a lot of sites.

The Silversmith Hotel was an amazing downtown Chicago hotel for our stay! The staff was friendly and explained things really well when we first arrived and offered to answer questions. The bar tender was very kind and personable. The property was quiet and clean-they even came to remove our garbage more times than we expected over the 3 night stay. They really exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay in this great location again if we can!

It is really close to the L-train which was convenient. You could hear the train at night, but it did not sound extremely loud in the room we were in.

We appreciated the wonderful staff. Very welcoming. Comfortable rooms if a bit dated. Wonderful lobby bar. Fantastic location.

Great staff and successful sound management though it’s right on the El. Worn furniture but still comfortable gathering areas for the family.

Beverly at the front desk is the best. Enrique, valet, is soooo nice and helpful. Good location for theatre and shopping.

One of the best beds I have slept in at a hotel in a while. My whole family and I loved the shower and the valet was very professional and prompt. I would highly recommend this property to anybody wanting an affordable high class stay in downtown Chicago.

Everyone was superior…the maids, the bartenders, guest services and the valet people too!!!

The only reason why I did not give a 5 star review is because I was told there was a historic building fee, which I was happy to pay, but did not know I would see it daily on my invoice. I find it would be more helpful to have a flat rate shared, instead of a $26 random fee daily (which I see after I receive my final invoice) for clarity purposes.

Good location for entertainment and transportation, though CTA train noise might bother someone. Receptionist offered a room on the opposite side of the hotel from the track.
