Hotel 55 Chicago Downtown

We stayed for one night for my birthday to do some sight seeing. The room was nice, the shower was AMAZING, and it was close to everything downtown.

The staff were courteous and accommodating. I left a bouquet of flowers for whomever. Thank you.

The hotel was in a great location in Downtown Chicago. Made it easy to walk to any popular attraction during my stay including great restaurants. The room was clean and got the job done. Staff was very helpful for checking in my luggage the day of and answering any questions I had during my stay.

We really liked the decor of the room, it was very chic and stylish. Robes were so comfortable, water pressure was great, and we loved the amenities - all the soaps and shampoos smelled amazing. Nespresso machine in the room was great, but it was not reset back to the factory setting, so espresso button was running longer than it should. Staff were very accommodating, they let us check in early, and helped with storing luggage as well. The restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent - their food was great, and cocktail menu was really good too. The location was really convenient, and we really enjoyed staying here - definitely coming back again!

Old , worn down but okay . Appearance poor , staff were nice though . Needs a facelift desperately!

This is now my go to hotel to stay at in Chicago. It’s walking distance from so many things. Customer service was great, complimentary water, Mexican restaurant next door which was very good, Trader Joe’s directly across the street and many shopping places less than 5mins of walking .room was clean and any requests were honored on a timely manner! I will be back!!!

Wonderful hotel. Easy parking and close to the train!!

I enjoyed the location of the property. In addition to the bar/restaurant downstairs. All staff was pleasant at hotel too. Mostly had to do with the room - it smelled wet/damp in our room all weekend. We would come back and our clothes would almost feel wet. Lighting scones near bedside didn’t work on either side, in addition to the floor lamps (these would flicker constantly to the point it wasn’t worth messing with anymore).

Fairly clean property given they’re in the middle of some renovation. One of the elevators was down due to improvement efforts but they allowed guests to use the service elevator

Perfect location !! Close to everything. The room is a great size and was clean. The only thing was they need a fan in the bathroom. We just opened the window to give it some ventilation. The gym was very nice and clean as well. I absolutely would stay again. There seemed to only be one elevator working but it moved pretty quick. But I definitely enjoyed my stay and plan to come here again.

The room was lousy and felt like it was on an incline. Felt like the floor was higher in the bathroom then the rest
