Hotel 55 Chicago Downtown

Great stay! Simple room and hotel but we didn’t need much because there’s so much to do in the area! Very clean! We will hopefully be back!

I have stayed here many times in the past. Very close to my meetings at another close by hotel. I miss the art work when it was a 21c Museum Hotel. Hallways are now painted a very dark color. Staff was great. Water pressure was super. Room very clean

I have stayed here every year for the past 10 yrs. The location is great. I do miss the art work when it was a 21c Museum property. Check in was easy and personnel was friendly and helpful. Lure bar is pretty low keyed.

The room was nice and had enough space for a family of 4. It was clean and we appreciated the toiletries. We had difficulty with the WiFi on the TV to connect to apps.

Location was great….handle was broken in our room and the AC didn’t work. Took two days to resolve the issue. Attached restaurant has limited menu.

I visited Hotel 55 in July 2026. The hotel was clean and the room was well kept. I had a room on the 15th floor, which had a pretty good view of some of downtown. The location of the hotel was great. Very central and easy to walk to a lot of the locations and shopping. And very easy to get to any metro My only complaint which is not the property’s fault is that the hotel was very quiet, but outside is very noisy. Trying to sleep in a downtown hotel at night is difficult. There are very loud cars and music all throughout the night during the weekend. As a light sleeper, I am grateful that I brought my noise canceling headphones. But I guess that’s what you get for downtown. Overall great hotel would stay again.

The staff arevery helpful especially the front desk. She tried to get as room as early as possible . I will highly reccommend your place.

What a great stay. The facility was clean and the room was perfect. Location was perfect to grab a quick bite or pick up essentials from Trader’s Joe.

Staff at reception were genuinely just lovely. Room was clean and this might be the only hotel in Chicago with decent bathroom lighting.

I would stay here again when I am in Chicago. The only issue I had was a faint sewer smell in my room that cane and went throughout my stay. I was only in my room at night so I wasn’t sure if it smelled that way during the day. I informed the front desk. Other than that this was a perfect quiet convenient location.
