Hotel 55 Chicago Downtown

Beautiful hotel and very close to everything. The room was very spacious and clean. The robes were a cute touch. I also appreciate the bottled water and prosecco. A super friendly young lady checked me in and out. She had gorgeous brown skin and really cute long blonde braids. Another person was very helpful, he had really fun grey and clear plastic glasses. We had a great stay!

Design was nice, very comfy, room was clean, and the shampoo/conditioner/body wash were very nice and good

Great location, big rooms if you get the studio. We had a corner room so it was quiet and private. There is no pool which we did not pay attention to but if that matters to you, then may need to reconsider.

Me and my best friend had an amazing time! The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was amazing! The staff were friendly and helpful! Our room was spacious and clean! The hotel is in the middle of downtown and close to alot of attractions!

Hotel is very nice and clean, only thing that was a bit of an inconvenience was how small the elevators are. Security is good to get up stairs, room was so nice and staff was on their game when accommodating me and my family. Felt like they actually cared. You can tell that the hotel is a bit older by some features but other than that everything is very modern and clean. I stayed in a king room not suite and it almost felt like a suite because we had a whole couch with a table. This came in handy with my toddler. Also they had white bed sheets and which was a plus.

This hotel was absolutely perfect! The staff was friendly and super helpful. The location couldn’t have been in a better place. Great for walking and exploring.

Valet was one person. Except 45 min wait. Room was missing a shower curtain. They did fix it

Great location. Property didn’t seem all that well maintained, room was clean but there was often trash in the hallway like outside the elevator. My major issue was that our shower had only a hand held shower head with no overhead option. I expect to encounter that in Europe but not here, especially not at this price point. Would not choose this hotel again for that reason.

Overall great. Has a couple of challenges with getting room service from the restaurant connected to the hotel; but the staff were great on helping to resolve.

This property “no-showed” me after I called and told them that my flight was delayed. A staff member of the hotel assured me that they would hold the room for one day, but the next day the manager told me the hotel was now booked and they couldn’t help me. They also tried not to refund me. The manager wouldn’t even speak to me directly.

The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. We received complimentary champagne and macarons upon check-in. The staff was friendly and helped us check our bags as we arrived to the city before check-in.

The hotel is clean, staff is very attent, the welcome moment made me like the hotel, is close to everything, shopping, restaurants,parking a one block, very nice restaurants a walking distance. Next time I will be stay at the same hotel.
