The location
-
Room was super small and kind of outdated. Bed was super hard. The staff were friendly. Breakfast sucked but it was free. Not really within walking distance of a lot of things. They have parking with an additional charge. Air conditioning was good.

Room was clean and staff friendly.

A little run down and in need of refresh. Had a dog in the room across the hall that kept barking. Was unaware of how close in proximity to pets I would be booking this room.

Wasn't the worst place I have stayed and I would stay again for short trips or trips where I wasn't in the room much. Tight squeeze for 1 individual, more so with 2 of us. Room was clean but really small for more than 1 person. Parking was also an issue. They have a small lot but was already full when we arrived so we were told it was ok to park in the parking ramp next to the hotel. Unfortunately, it is not open on the weekends so we left our vehicle in the ramp the whole weekend and ended up only going to where we could walk because we didn't want to deal with having to find parking each time we left the hotel or pay extra for an uber when we brought our vehicle with us. This meant we didn't go to all the places we had originally planned for our trip.

What I liked most is the PRICE$$$ very reasonable, the Hotel appears to have been renovated or new, everything is updated, even the room air conditioner worked very well. I like it cold and put it on 61 and it got pretty cold. The grab and go breakfast was just the, grab fruit, pop tart, breakfast bar, coffee, orange and apple juice oh and fruit cups. Room was very clean and bed slept really GOOD. If you like quiet from the rush of downtown this is the place.. its pretty quiet and they have tap your card outside the entrance door to get in, a Plus. Its only 1.4 miles from Union Station Train. The only thing I didn't like was the room door seemed kinda thin wood and not closer to the floor, I could see the hallway light under my door.

Location is good, though, and the room was decent, with a fairly comfortable bed and a reasonable shower (watch the slippery floor!). Respectable AC to keep the room cool.

Parking was severely lacking. Only 12 spots available at $50 per night first come, first served and you need a pass to park there. I had to park 3 blocks away. No coffee maker in the room. Ice machine only on the 1st floor. I'm 5'7", and the full size bed was a joke as was the cracker box called a room. The door to the room had to be manually latched coming and going. the bathroom door didn't latch at all. Simple fix for someone that knows what they are doing, but I'm sure they don't have anyone that knows. (Whoever painted the baseboards, also painted the flooring.) Caulk at the base of the shower to floor needs redone. Breakfast wasn't really offered. They did have a coffee maker near the lobby and they offer for breakfast Pop Tarts, oatmeal, fruit cups and apples, and no place near by that was open for breakfast. 5 channels for the TV and NO channel guide. I will say that the night staff who I talked to were friendly and tried to be helpful.

Close by nearby activities. No parking anywhere and one member of staff was a bit stand off-ish.

This was a perfect location for after the Windy City Smokeout. We were able to get a (Free!) parking spot on-premise, and they allowed us to check-out an hour later. It’s within walking distance of the United Center, and there’s an excellent Mexican restaurant just a short walk away. It’s ideal for anyone looking for somewhere to stay after any type of event at the United Center.

Front Desk Staff was very nice.
-
The hotel was clean The staff member that checked me in seemed uninterested in greeting me. No smile or hello, I had to greet her. Not very friendly. The room was extremely humid, probably at least 85% humidity inside the room with the A/C running. The window would not shut or seal properly, so I could feel hot humid air coming in. It was super uncomfortable to sleep as a result. I just felt cold and wet and sticky.

Room was not cleaned and bed was not changed 2/6 nights that we stayed. When we told the front desk they did not seem very concerned/disinterested
