La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Chicago Downtown

I went here and gave the person my credit card to put incidentals on and my bank card to pay for the room. The person at the front desk I guess was so busy trying to explain what their pronouns were that they messed up! I was charged everything on my credit card and I have a hold on my bank! I just found this out when getting back. But first impression was of this person trying to correct me on what their pronouns were when I was not referring tho “this person” I was referring to my husband as a “he” and then received a lecture. I then corrected them that I was not referring to them! I was charged a hefty early check in fee which we agreed to since we flew all the way here with our luggage. They did offer to watch our luggage for a fee. Two days later I wrote on the text to them about needing more towels and toilet paper. I received no response and we went out. Came back a couple hours went up to this person again and explained I received no response so I could I get these items. Person rolled eyes and asked if I wanted fries with that also? I wanted to say some things to this person but since i opted to just go on about my business. I have traveled to a lot of places and have never been treated this way! I suggest maybe the manager should educate this person on the way they speak to their customers before they decide not to come back. Very unprofessional and cannot even do what they are supposed to do correctly or did they do it on purpose?!?! People beware before booking!

We were only there for less than 12 hours due to our train arriving several hours late. Our late night check in was very quick and our room was great. Fabulous shower which after a two day train trip was wonderful. A very comfy bed and the room was very quiet also. Breakfast provided several options. Hotel is a short walk to Union Station.

Flight was cancelled, but Expedia didn't notify me. No other flights to get there the same day. Emailed hotel. Got charged anyway. If I just don't show up, charge me. If something happens in my personal life, charge me. If it's the fault of your OneKey partner, you should bear the fault, not the customer.

Location and clean That we weren’t told ahead of time that there was going to be so many extra charges at check in. We booked far enough in advance that the hotel could have messaged us to give a heads up on the $150 and $180 extra charges.
