Arrived later than the front desk staff worked apparently, but called the emergency number and Mike took care of everything, finding me an amazing room and picking up my parking. Excellent staff and great spot downtown!

It seemed something shady was going on with random upcharges that were being assigned to other customers right as they were checking in. The staff person *called the police* and *cancelled the reservation* of people checking in ahead of us when they tried (in a completely reasonable way) to refuse additional charges. They were not acting unreasonable or dangerous, but staff was dismissive and passive-aggressive. I braced myself, ready to accept extra charges because I would rather do that than start from scratch for my whole family with only 24 hours to spend in the city, but then, (maybe because the police were standing there?) she just waved me on, didn’t charge me more and didn’t make me initial that I would accept upcharges. She did make a bigger deal about the deposit for “incidentals” than other places do. So maybe the upcharges are coming… The upcharges total about $125, which would just make it a “normal” price for downtown Chicago, instead of the amazing deal we got ($200 for a room with 6 double-bed bunk-beds, which was AWESOME!!) But still, it created unfortunate anxiety, especially for my teenagers, so a little cloud over the otherwise perfect trip. (Note—The El did NOT disturb our sleep at all!)

Enjoyed having the kitchen dining area open that was equipped with everything you need to cook your own meals definitely saved money. Location was great parking all around Chicago is horrible staff that checked us in was kind of rude but staffed. The next morning was great. Enjoyed our stay overall.

It took an hour to check in because the lady at the desk was painfully slow, there was only 2 people Infront of me checking in. There is 200 dollars of undisclosed fees due when you arrive at the property, and a sign that says if you complain about it they will cancel your room with no refund. The lady at the desk tried to tell me that I didn't book in time and that I had to pay a additional 300$ last minuet fee, even though I booked 2 days ahead of time. Additionally the room was advertised as sleeping 6, it had 4 full beds. No idea how they came up with 6.

Fun set up! Great a/c. Room was very clean, and the bed was comfy

I am still fighting with this property to get my deposit back of 75. They do not return messages and put you in VM when you call. Ridiculous! I stayed for business and never left my room or used their internet - which was not available! Very frustrating.

Room was clean and staff was helpful.

UNFORTUNATELY, MY FAULT WAS NOT REPORTING A COUCH THAT WAS BROKEN WHEN WE ARRIVED AT MY ROOM. THEY CHARGED ME $200; I HOPE THEY REPAIR IT AND REPLACE IT, OR THE NEXT PERSON REPORT IN CASE THEY HAVEN'T CHANGED IT; OTHERWISE, THEY WILL CHARGE OTHER PEOPLE FOR THE SAME "PROBLEM".

This place was very cute and clean, the staff was very helpful and I would definitely come back again

The photos on the website show that there is a coffee bar or some type of lounge area. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. The hotel itself is quite unique. The beds are comfortable, but the rooms are small. Not an issue for my husband and me since we spent very little time in the room. It is within walking distance to a wide variety of shops and restaurants. One downfall is that the second floor rooms are on the same side as the "L". It isn't bad though. The trains stop around 1am but are not super loud even until then. Definitely not for older guests or those looking for breakfast or other amenities on site. It's a great place for a couple of nights.

Lovely time will be back thanks

My mother in law and 4 year old son got bed bugs bites here. We stayed there before and we had an ac issue but still gave it another try and now the bed bugs just gave us the ick :(

Very friendly and understanding staff
-
I booked for 4 people. Pictured room showed bunk beds. The room had one double bed and a couch. There were no bunk beds . Staff did not get this fixed or offer any remedy. We had to leave.
-
The surprise fees were not a great first impression. Rooms were clean, location was amazing, but staff were kind of useless and seemed overwhelmed at times.
-
They charged extra for the stay. And it was not mentioned during booking.
-
There is a kitchen with coffee makers that was well maintained.
