Great Location. Room tad small. Rainfall shower awesome. Temperature outside mid eighties and air conditioning couldn't keep up. Room never got below 75.

We always stay here when visiting Chicago. The downtown location is great for us, the staff always go above and beyond, and the rooms are always clean and well maintained.

Also, cheap doors are squeaking too much. Everything else was good.

Hotel was ok but nothing special. Annoying to ask for an early checkin and be told that the room was ready but it would require an extra $50 payment to get in before 4pm. Typical of this hotel where they squeeze in as many extra payments as they legally can. $100 per night deposit fee per room; we had 2 rooms for 3 nights so had $600 additional charged to our credit card. Hopefully we will get it back but it is ridiculous to require so much for a deposit. Room was adequate but not what one usually sees in an upscale hotel. Elevators were always busy and slow as there were only four elevators for 30+ floors. No desk, two small uncomfortable seats without foot stools, no spare blankets, tiny refrigerator with no freezer, and minimal toiletries. I’ve stayed in much less expensive places that were better furnished. Location is the only thing really excellent about it.

Location and river view were perfect!!

The staff is exceptional! All of the doormen were extremely helpful and attentive, especially Lucas, our favorite. All of the housekeeping staff were wonderful and catered to our every need. The food at Hoyt's was excellent. The Hoyt's bar is a great place to mingle and decompress. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. Plenty of plugs for charging devices. The location is perfect, with a vast array of bus stops, across-the-street access to the Riverwalk, and easy walking distance to Millenium Park and the Chicago Art Institute. All-in-all, a wonderful stay. We really appreciated all of the humans taking care of us during our stay.

Staff was friendly, views can't be beat, rooms are nice enough, was there 7 years ago and no upkeep has been done since. Our room location was meh. Across from housekeeping and the door for the supplies was super squeaky so all morning and evening there're was squeaking. Ice machine also across from our room which only worked for one night was also loud then inconvenient to go to another floor. Elevator also eighth next to our room so loud people and constant traffic right outside. Not very restful

This stay was amazing. I brought my 40th birthday in there and everything was a 1000/10!

Great location friendly staff clean property

Clean. Restaurant staff excellent and helpful, but meals overpriced. Definitely noisy (sirens, hallways). And not ideal but the river view rooms are literally right across from Trump building so you open your curtains to "TRUMP" everyday ... Also, FYI the VIP rewards for food discounts are for restaurant only, not any snacks or drinks from lobby.

I like having coffee available in the lobby when traveling. The coffee in the r room wasn’t good.
